My Wii U Score
Now, I see most people here post the sweet deals they find on classic games, but I couldn't help but brag about how little I paid for some sweet gear.
Now, as a quick preface, the place where I work likes to give out those generic giftcards (visa or mastercard ones) for various reasons: for performance, for helping train, or sometimes just as giveaways at company events. Over the past 9 months or so, I aquired around $250 worth of them.
Now, Target (where I also work as my second job (but only very part time since starting the aforementioned job)) was having TWO great deals this week 1. Buy a Wii U Super Mario Bros bundle, get a $50 Target giftcard. 2. Buy 2 games, get a third one free.
I think you can see where this is going, but let me walk you through it. I go in and first buy the Wii U using the giftcards, which leaves a balance of around $62 which I pay using my Redcard (gives an extra 5% off), but I can't use my Employee discount with the generic giftcards (I knew this ahead of time).
Then, on a seperate, second transaction I buy Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, and Pikmin 3, using my employee discount, the $50 giftcard I got from the Wii U, and my Redcard for the balance of $65.
That's right folks, for $127 out of pocket, I got: A brand new Wii U, New Super Mario Bros Wii U (bundled), New Super Luigi Bros. Wii U (bundled), Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, and Pikmin 3.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some games to play!!

Have fun this is a great console!
Probably won't be able to hook it up until a little later, though... Gotta go to work now (I seriously work too much, but them games ain't gonna pay for themselves!)
Nice work dude. If I read that right, some of those are bundles? If so, and you have an extra wiiU, I might be interested in buying one off you.

It reminds me of that coupon show where people know how to manipulate the coupon system and get a bunch of shit for free. hahaha

No I just got one. The "bundle" I was referring to was simply the commonly available Wii U with the two New Super Mario Bros games.

The only real "trick" here is that, instead of buying everything in one transaction, I did it in two transactions so that I could use the $50 giftcard from the first transaction on the second transaction.
So, other than using all those giftcards I got from work, anybody could do this.
