I don't know...recent ebay sales have been hitting $15-$20,000. Maybe I'm adding a dose of wishful thinking but $40 to $10,000 ain't too shabby either!
The recent Ebay sales that I know of were troll bid and the buyers never paid. There are a couple of thread on here discussing those sales. Realistically, if it went for $10,000, I think that would be the high end. Either way, what a cool story and great find!
Yeah, there have been a lot of unpaid auction lately since the unfortunate NWC 'Mario label' auction got trolled over $100k. The highest confirmed sale was $13000ish, and this was somehow helped by the trolled auction.
The Nolan's sold their NWC for $17.5k if I am remembering correctly, but I think that was one of those "right place at the right time" sort of moments. But yeah, those 20k sales weren't legit.
