Yelir's Find Thread

I never thought I'd have a Finds Thread, but here goes. I'll be updating this thread with my local finds as well as some eBay purchases when I get the chance.

Feel free to share your stories or comments when you have the time, as well.

Monday (6/24/13)

Went to a local shop on my lunch break. I was a bit bummed from having sold my copy of CBFD, but less than 12 hours later I ran into these games. The 2 DS titles were $9.99.

  • Wow that's an awesome price on the Conker! It appears to be in great shape too!
  • I saw both of those Banjo games for sale at Cash Converters today on Macleod. Is that where you got them?
  • Whoa, I'm surprised those are so cheap at cash converters. Lately every time I go to the macleod one, everything is way over priced. $40 for shadows of the empire and golden eye and shit.
  • Pretty much a half price Conker's, awesome deal.

    You got it.

I took a break from checking out what they had in stock, the last few times I went I couldn't find a single thing that I wanted to buy. The N64 was dried right up but it seems like there was also a 'gaming flood', lots of the popular titles stocked but I saw most of them priced near the $50 mark. That's my usual consensus with their pricing, it's either priced way too low or way too high, but they discount stock that sits too long as well.

That's funny, I went to Bolsa for lunch so I went over there around 1:30-2:00 and had those in my hands before you bought them. I didn't know the Conkers game was hard to find, I would have bought it. I don't know much about N64 games, congratulations on your score.
  • Congrats Riley on those nice finds. Woohoo! Cash Converters is where I found my Mario Tennis NFR $24.99. First one I have found in the wild ever.

Lucky guy! I'm not big into NFR collecting, but it may be one of the last means of scooping a deal since people don't notice the markings of one in stores and typical eBay lots.

Haven't been feeling well lately, but decided to check shop for something to play in the meantime. Grabbed 2 SNES controllers in sore need of a cleanup for $5, and the GB titles for $5, $15, and $10 in order.

How do you suppose I did?

A little bit of N64 goodness, even though it's not part of my main collecting goal. The 2 controllers were free, and I paid $6 for the collection of carts.

Not everyone...I still have yet to find one/own one/even play one. So yeah...

But maybe with everyone finding them the price will finally drop...
