Here we are with a final update of this week, received a package i didn't expect to arrive this week, thought it would be for monday.
I bought this lot for €15, was advertised as 15 PS1 games, could only see some covers on the pic and there was no extra information, so just decided to go for it as i needed replacement cases and probably will in the future aswell.
So this is what came in:
Bottom left: Xena: Warrior princess, Les Schtroumpfs (The smurfs) and Rayman 2. All in good cases and complete, these are going into my collection.
Right hand side: Pure garbage Missing manuals, ruined front covers, completely useless boxes, a ps3 demo (Wtf lol).
Top left: 9 very good condition cases, these will serve as replacement cases. Reason these dont go in my collection is because some are missing a manual, and i dont collect platinums. Neither am i interested in these EA classics and those value things.
Funny thing, i have a CIB Crash 3 warped, but this package has another 'complete' copy of it, except it has a platinum CTR disc inside Not sure what i'm gonna do with that, a Crash bandicoot 3 manual and cover without disc are pretty useless, and i guess i could use the CTR disc to play it until i find a complete copy of it.
All by all, good package, the 3 games for my collection and 9 replacement cases is a very good catch for €15 i'd say.
Odd, still play CTR and see what you think of it. I love the drift boos mechanic and level design so much. Nice set of games, I've been curious about Mickey's Wild Adventure myself.
Finally went to pick up that last package from last week! Let's start off with some pics:
This all cost me €30 together, afterall I think it's more than a decent price. The top picture shows what I'm keeping in my collection, all these games are CIB and in very good condition. Altho can anyone give me some info on the Die Hard case? It is the same size as a normal PSX case but it has not got the PS holographic on it, neither has it got Playstation inscripted in the sides. So might have to replace that for a normal case.
Then the bottom pic are basically games with missing parts. Kula is missing the front cover, didn't intend to keep this in my collection anyway but this one definately adds some value to the package, so hoping to get some money back out of that. Then Tekken 3 is missing everything bar the disc, Rugrats case is broken and Crash 2 is missing the front cover aswell.
I'm not sure if its worth selling incomplete games such as Crash 2, but i'll check the prices out soon.
Then at last there's FF7, would love to have this in my collection but I simply don't collect platinums. I'm pretty sure this one is complete, case isn't in the best condition but still pretty good, so this is up for sale.
Then at last i got a package in from someone I know from the competitive console gaming community, he knew I was looking for dutch big box Pajama Sam games. I had the second one already and he found this one on a flea market. It cost me €1 and the box is in mint condition. It's missing the cardboard thing inside to hold the CD case but i'm sure i can easily find one somewhere.
So that's that for now, let me know what you think!
You can get cases like the one you have for the Die Hard case, but they have the holographic symbol still - My Soulblade is the only game I have in a case like that. So it is a proper case... just missing the Holographic symbol.
I see you got Kula World in the end, shame about the inlay, as with Tekken 3. Is Parappa the Rapper complete? Because that is getting rather hard to find, I have yet to get hold of one myself.
Parappa the rapper is complete yes, didn't look that one up as i never heard of it so assumed it was just some random game Yeah i'll just have the incomplete ones lay around here then. And I'll put the Die Hard in a normal PSX case, i have some spare ones now anyway.
Then i received a package from the states, Raptor call of the shadows Big box, still has the seal on it to protect the box but it has been opened at the top, very good condition and has this old Kmart price tag on the seal which is pretty cool i think.
RAPTOR is so great I'm going to play it after this post.
I like those original high price stickers on my games too. I wish I never gave away Word for Atari ST with $600 on it
I dont want a PS2 one tho! I bought this CTR for PS2 by mistake, i have a ps2 laying around somewhere but dont use it, I'll be playing it on PS1 once i have the actual CTR.
How is the PS2 version in comparison to the PS1 game? It seems like the PS1 game has a cult-like following, but I never really hear anyone talk about the PS2 game.
I haven't played Crash Tag Racing myself but Crash Nitro Kart for the PS2 just lacked soul, the cars speed felt much slower and the tracks were uncreative.
