i go to community college and i have a nite class mondays, (last night). so im driving home and notice a slight bit of static from the radio. its an older car so i figure the original radio is starting to take a dump and think nothing of it

so i go out to my car today and im driving up the block and my attention is drawn directly to the antenna on the passenger side fender...

some POS snapped my antenna off and the wire on the inside  was just flapping around in the wind.

people ask me why i buy older cheap cars as my everyday cars and $h1t like this is exactly why i wouldnt leave something nice and valuable in the parking lot.

    That sucks, sorry to hear about that. That's one thing I never had to worry about. My old honda had the antenna on the back glass inside and my new suv has it on the top. None the less people can be dicks for no reason at all. BTW is that an Oldsmobile?

    no its a 1989 mercury grand marquis. i bought it off the original owner last month (85 year old man) with 57k miles for $1300.

    it has a fuel injected 5.0L 302ci V8 (notice the fender emblems lol), pretty much the same thing late 1980's-early 90's mustangs have.

    as far as i know there was no engine option with this car, they just packed the v8 in all of them

    Nice car... it doesn't have any oil leaks does it? I once bought a 1979 T-Bird with 47K miles and within 18 months of buying it, every seal on the block was leaking.. Just a heads up..

    she seems to be holding together pretty well, hopefully she stays that way. im pretty good with a wrench, and fords so i think i could handle it. i have 3 1970's ford mavericks as well, one of which i build a ground up 302 for. those are my "nice, rare, valuable" cars that im afraid to take anywhere lol

    Yea that sucks man. Its pathetic how people have nothing better to do. Reminds me of when they smash the mail boxes in with a bat. I went out one morning and ever mailbox on my road was smashed in.

    Boy, and I thought the person who put their bumper into the side of my car and ran was a jerk. Tore the side from the front driver side door all the way back to the rear tire. 3 grand in damage

    and another thing I'd like to ask.  Bunnyboy why cant you just call the police?  Couldn't they just look at a video and find who the culprit is?  You know that kind of damage can get you in serious trouble.  (if your the one causing it).
