I give a very high rec. to the book "Game Over". It is basically the history of Nintendo from like 1899 to the late 90s, with very interesting side stories thrown in. I think it's quite a few years old, because it ends it's history starting with N64. I read this awhile ago on a borrow, and finally found myself a copy at a used game store for 9.99! I would probably pay up to $30 for this book, read it!

    I agree -- it's definitely a good read. It starts off a little dry, but gets better.
