Help With TOP853 Programmer

Hey Everyone so I have wanted to get into making repros for a while now and I have finally bouguht everything I need to make an earthbound zero cart. I have been trying to burn the prg rom with my top853 ive set the delay to 2ms, 5ms, 10ms, and 20ms, aswell as using a powered usb hub with it to supply more power  and it keeps failing halfway through the burn. What am i doing wrong ive covered up the window on the eprom and i have filled the buffer and checked the eprom to see if it is blank. 

I am using AM27C020 12.75v eproms.

    USB can only supply 5v while your EPROMS are 12.75v?

    from what I understand The TOP853 has a built in voltage multiplier and it says it supports this type of eprom but I could be wrong. and if this programmer is not good for the job what would you guys recommend?

    Sounds like a bad chip. Have you tried other chips? Have you tried burning at a slower speed?

    I have this programmer and have trouble with some chips with that part number.

    I never figured out how to make them work. I just make sure not to buy those.



    You shouldn't need to change the delay normally.

    What eproms would you reccomend to use for the earthbound zero cart these are the ones I ordered exactly

    I wouldn't rely on eBay listing photos. They probably aren't going to be of the actual chips you receive.



    I use epromman.com and just ask for non-am* branded chips.



    What OS are you running?

    Im have windows 8.1 but i have am running it with xp in a virtual machine and i have also tried on my brothers actual windows xp machine

    Any other brand of '020 chips or any compatible 256K chips

    I use mine everyday almost. You don't need to change ANY settings, all you need to do is select what chip you're using from the list. If you chip name isn't on there you can use one that's close enough M27C020 is the same as 27C020 or M27C2001, etc.



    You can do anything up to a 1,028KB file, so most basic SNES/Genesis games.
