Are There Mulicarts With Super Mario Bros. 2 Or 3 On Them?

I was playing the Super Mario Bros. hack on my 42 in 1 Famicom multicart, and I was wondering something. These carts were made into, and in some cases, past the time when SNES games were being sold, so Super Mario Bros. 2 and 3 would have been out. Are there any multicarts out there with hacks of Super Mario Bros. 2 or 3? Does anyboby own one? Just wondering. I'll look for multicart ROMs to see if I can find one that does, but I'm not expecting anything.

  • THere's this:

    Super Mario Party cart.

    List of the games

    1.Mario Bros

    2.Super Mario Bros

    3.Dream Mario Bros(Glitchy version of SMB1)

    4.Golden Mario Bros(Lost levels,Rambo Mario...whatever SMB2j)

5.Super Mario Bros 2(known as Doki Doki Panic in Japan?)

    6.Super Mario Bros 3
  • Nice! I might have to track that one down myself. Not the best of videos to showcase it, though. His cart was pretty glithcy, and the TV was in black and white. Still cool, though!
  • Yes there are many different multi carts with these games on them but it seems SMB 2 (SMB USA in Japan) seems to be the hardest to find on multi carts. I have a multi that has SMB1, Baby Upa (Titled Baby Mario), and SMB 3 on a single cart.

SMB1 and SMB2J are definitely the most common

SMB2 (USA) is very hard to find on multi carts

SMB3 is usually the Japanese version on Multi's and is uncommon

Doki Doki Panic is a very rare game to find on cartridge due to it never officially being ported from the Famicom Disk System. It will be missing the audio that was run through the FDS special audio channel though (so no going through door sounds, no pulling up turnip sounds, etc.)
  • I recall seeing "Mario All-Stars" for the NES in the past, but I can't vouch for if all the games are on that one cartridge. I have seen it though. Maybe somebody else can chime in this?

I had owned this cart. It was a SuperVision pirate. All games played as intended. It's a very nice all in one for the Mario games.
  • I understand SMB2 and 3 have some glitches but aren't unplayable. I suppose the pirates did what they could to get more advanced things going on junkier parts but they work and that's what's important. Despite owning the lot of games already other than SMB2j in that form it would be cool to have it, especially also with Doki Doki Panic on there.
  • Found and bought a multicart with all 3 Super Mario Bros. games. Next challege: all 3 Famicom Final Fantasy games. I have translated ROMs, but nothing feels as good as the real cart, even if it's a bootleg. The closest thing I have is the official FF 1+2 Famicom dual game cart, but I'm missing a game. If bootlegers can find a way to make a FF 7 bootleg game, something tells me there must be at least ONE Famicom Final Fantasy triple game cart out there.
