Making my first repros - Did I order the right stuff?

Hi all,

I've decided to make a couple of reproductions of romhacks I'd like to play.  I suck at soldering so I ordered some PCB's and the board programmer from infiniteNES.  Since no-one seems to be selling new plastic cases at the moment I'll be sacrificing a couple of commons for those (most likely my torn label terminator 2 and monopoly).  I ordered a nintendo security bit so I can get them open, and plan to paint them using a spray paint designed for plastics.  I'll probably design a couple labels myself and order them from NES-City unless someone has a better suggestion.

Anyway, one of the games is a Megaman 3 romhack (MMC3), and the other is a FInal Fantasy romhack (MMC1).  Did I order the right stuff?  I know the CHR rom in Megaman 3 is only 128k, and the one I ordered is 256k, will that be a problem?

Edit: I don't see my picture showing up, so here's what I ordered:

Comments

  • you'd want to double up the rom for any game is won't fit the "Whole" chip. i.e. copy /b game1.prg + game.prg gametotal.prg, same goes for CHR if you have them etc.
  • Makes sense, thanks!
