SNES/N64 Scart Cable Questions (Super NOOB questions)(
Ok,
So I found a TV at my work that they were chucking, and brought it home because it has a SCART connector on the back
The TV is a Samsung SyncMaster 940mw
With this new TV, I was super quick to modify my NTSC n64 for RGB.
I was then quick to order a SNES - SCART cable to test it out., here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=331169275980
The problem, obviously, is that it does not work. (The TV does not detect an input in the EXT port)
My questions are as follows:
A.) Is the SCART connector on the TV I have actually a SCART connector? Or are there other inputs that use the same connector that I'm just unaware of?
B.) Is this SCART cable I bought supposed to work on an Factory UnModded Console? Note I only have NTSC consoles if this makes a difference.
C.) Is there a difference between a PAL and an NTSC SCART Cable?
D.) Is there a possibility that the SCART Cable, for what ever reason, would only work on a SNES and not an N64?
Very much appreciate any help here.
Thanks!

its says that is an rgb port so it should work with your console. FYI, Scart is just the name of the connector. Not all scart cables necissarily are RGB.
That is not the right cable for your console as it has resistors in the scart head and needs caps. also pin 3 is different on the NTSC multi out (same for both snes and n64, but some signals are not present on certain console versions):

You need an NTSC cable. I would buy one from this person on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/usr/retro_console_accessories?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
what version board does your n64 have? If it is a NUS-CPU-03 I would suggest you get this cable:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Nintendo-stereo-RGB-SCART-lead-SNES-CSYNC-FULL-SHIELD-GROUNDED-cable-/161333823296
if its a NUS-CPU-04 you would have to rebuild the sync circuit before being able to use this cable.
You could try this one also:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Nintendo-stereo-RGB-SCART-lead-FULLY-SHIELDED-GROUNDED-cable-cord-US-SNES-/201100563863
but its using composite video for sync and not sure your monitor will work with it or if it needs composite sync (csync). You would have to install a sync stripper in the scart cable if doesnt work.
I can't remember which board I have, it's an NS1 serial number, but I can't remember if it was CPU 3 or 4.
If I modify the cable to NTSC with Caps and correct pinouts, do I still need to rebuild the Sync Circuit you mentioned as well?
Using c-sync from the console will require that pin 3 from the multi out is connected to pin 20 in the scart head, or do this (but you will lose composite video with this method):
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/rgbntsc.htm#link83
But those will only work on an -03 board. On an -04 you need to rebuild the sync circuit first.
Another option is to make a sync stripper circuit and either put it in the head of your n64 cable or build a box or an adapter cable:

Here is a pic of what the scart pinout should be that might also be useful:
