Anyone know where to get the cheap 72 pin connectors wholesale?

I remember a while back on DP that someone posted a link to the cheaper 72 pin connectors -- anyone have this link? I have some gold ones for my systems, but I have about 20 NES systems I'll be listing and need some cheap ones for those.

  • I've got 42 systems right now, all of which need a replacement pin connector for this Christmas season. If anybody knows where to get them wholesale, please post it!
  • I usually buy mine off of ebay for around $105 for 20 connectors ... am I paying too much?  If not, I'll post a link of where to get these.  Let me know guys.

There you go.  Maybe this will help you.  Possibly if we could all get funds together we could buy them wholesale from overseas and get them for $3 a piece or something.  I don't know anyone but I am interested if anyone knows.
  • antofarabia: That isn't too bad of a deal... I may have to buy one of those lots one day. That is, unless someone can point me to a wholesaler or something...

On a side note, I remember charging a guy $15 to fix his NES... Ended up spending $9 on the connector itself (yes, I only bought a single), and it took me 25-30 minutes to put it together. Of course, that was the first (and only) NES I ever replaced the connector in.
  • I have boxes upon boxes of used connectors. It seems the gamestore replaced every one whether it was good or bad and threw the old one in a box that ended up in storage, which in turn ended up in my purchase from them.

I've used them to replace bad ones in the systems I have, I would say about 1 out of every 5 is in very good working order. I won't take the time to test them for you but if anyone wants to buy a flat rate box full of them I'll charge like $5 + the $9 for the shipping. So $14 for as many as I can fit into a flat rate box.

BTW the ones I have tested to find working ones for my consoles....I threw the bad ones away. I will send all untested ones. image

If anyone is interested shoot me a pm.

  • Hm...how many fit into a flat-rate box? If it's a significant number, we might have something here..
  • no idea, I'll check when I get home tonight and let you know.
  • I totally spaced this off, I'll pick up a priorty mail box tomarrow and let you know how many fit in one.
