Having trouble making BS Zelda
If anyone here makes SNES repros I could use your help. I know the donor cart for link to the past hacks is SHVC-1A3M, but what is the donor cart for BS Zelda? Also when I program the chip, the first 50% takes a few minutes, then the last 50% only takes a few seconds. Is this normal? I'm using a Willems GQ-4X. When I put the chip in my test boards, I dont get anything on screen. Please help -___-

Did you remove the copier header, what size is the ROM, if the ROM is smaller than the chip did you expand the ROM and fix the checksum?
Im using a FUJITSU MBM29F033C-90PTN -TSOP chip. I have tried both headered and non headered versions. Do you patch the rom to a link to the past rom?
I am unfamiliar with BS ROMs, does the ROM load in an emulator? Also it could be the soldering on your TSOP adapter, I like to take a picture of the soldering with my digital camera to check for bridges. Did you try programming another ROM to the chip to see if that loads?
Also I am not seeing MBM29F033C in the device list so maybe the GQ-4X cannot program that chip. And are you using the homemade TSOP adapter or the official Willem adapter? I could not get any of my 29F032's to verify with the homemade adapter so I ended up buying the official Willem adapters and now it works without issue.
One note with the Willem adapter is you need to set the jumper to 5v to program the 29F032 but set it to 3v to verify the chip.

Never used the MBM29F033C, I always use a 27C801 or 29F032. To play the ROM on an SNES you need to remove the header and fix the checksum.

Ive used these chips to make over 100 repros, this is just the only game that has given me problems. Yes I have tried to make it on multiple chips. Where do you get those chips you use?
BTW do you have some info for Dragon Quest 3 and Tales of Phantasia that might help me out

I think I figured it out, I am waiting on a SFC ToP to use as a dev cart and some more TSOP chips, I already have some 139s from doing stacked EPROMs. If I run into trouble I'll send you a PM.
