DQ3 and ToP Repro

Hello everyone I'm new here.



I have been doing repros for a while now with both 27c801 EPROMS and 29f032b TSOP to DIP board.  I have been doing english translations and a few ROM hacks like Return to Dinosaur Land and Goddess of Wisdom.  I've even done a few games by stacking EPROMs and adding a 139 decoder.



Now I want to make a repro for Dragon Quest 3 and Tales of Phantasia.  When I load the ROMs into SNES9x it says they are ExHiROM.  Can I use any HiROM board with 2 TSOP boards and add a 139 without rewiring the board or do I need to pick up a SFC copy of Tales of Phantasia?

    Any 1J3M cart will work. It really depends on HOW you want to mount the tsop adapters if you use a 2rom donor or 1 rom donor. You'll need a 139 also to select between the 2 rom boards if using the 1 mask rom donor. The 2 mask rom carts might not need a 139. I think the mad1 will do the switching if configured right.

    Nice, I have seen your board but I don't have an adapter to program 27c322 chips so I would like to use TSOP chips. I have a couple of 1J3M boards so I'll use them and add a 139.
