Retron 5 help needed
Got a retron 5 today for my birthday and hooked it up.
Put in Double Dragon on NES, got about 2 minutes in and the system froze forcing me to do a hard reset. When the system came back on it came to the Retron 5 Recovery System v1.0. After about a dozen on and off power cycles I finally got it to boot back to the menu. I was not running the latest firmware so I followed the online instructions and updated to version .22 and 1.5 firmware. The system booted to the menu and I confirmed it had been updated to .22 and 1.5 firmware. I put in Adventure Island on NES and the game froze at the title screen. I reset and was taken back to the Retron 5 Recovery System v1.0. I have not been able to get the system to boot back to the menu since.
I even downloaded the full OS from retron and used AppePiBaker to flash it to an SD card to do a fresh install. But, when I boot the system with the flashed SD card it says no card is found. I have tried it with 2 different SD cards. I am using a Mac to flash the card and not a PC with Win32 Disk Imager like the instructions state. That is the only reason I can think of that I can't get the card to flash properly. Unfortunately I do not have access to a PC to try Win 32 Disk Imager.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am hoping the store my wife bought it at will let her exchange it for a new one. She bought it 6 weeks ago and just gave it to me today.

I would try to get access to a PC to use what they suggest to write the SD card. Imaging programs vary greatly and that probably isn't helping.
Thanks. Still couldn't get it to work even using a PC to reset. I ended up taking it back and exchanging. New one works like a charm.
