  • Priority VHS boxes are perfect.
  • alright and I just get those at the Post office???

    Thanks!

    Jeremy!
  • you can get them delivered to your house for free at USPS.com

  • you know how much it cost to ship those

    4.75 right??

    Thanks!

    Jeremy!
  • depends on how much it weighs and where it's going.
  • $4.95 is the base price on them. I will be sending out a ton tomorrow so I should know image International stuff is a different ball game though.

  • i use vhs style cases and a plain manila envelope ... keeps em sturdy and you can still run it under first class instead of going priority .... then again i was stuck with a bunch of these things and thought how can i get rid of them and bam it was perfect for shipping

    WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!  Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Yeah I will be closer to being a Happy Camper tomorrow! image
  • Priority VHS sized boxes are the way to go. Whatever you do, DON'T be the guy that ships CIB games in bubble mailers with no box!
  • Another note is to always tape your priority boxes. I know they hold pretty well, but a couple pieces of tape makes the difference. I have seen my fair share pop open.

    /thread

That's the cheapest and safest way to do it.
  • better not get caught boys...all I am saying. Be baaaaaaad news if you did get caught.

  • what kind of bad news are we talking about?
  • misuse of government property, and mail fraud. Cases like this get turned over to Postal Inspectors all the time. When you order boxes, or if you read the priority boxes it clear has a disclaimer about how they are owned by USPS and are subject to penality under law. They will esp go after people who do it alot. Fines for sure, and jail if you were caught doing it alot.

  • Damn, good thing I don't do that.
  • Yeah, I never do that, not worth the risk.

I've always wondered tho, if you got a "used" priority box, then wrapped it in paper if that would be penalized. I mean, the box was used properly the first time, you'd just be recycling the box rather then thowing it away

I love the flatrate box inside out move too, just asking for trouble.
  • Even if it is a "used" box, and it still has to go priority officially.

  • Do they actually catch a lot of people doing this?
  • I bet they catch a fair amount of people. I remember when you could just turn the Priority box inside out, but now they print "priority" on the inside of the box too.
  • Jason, I don't think ant was using priority boxes one bit, i think he was using old VHS rental boxes that CIB nes games fit into perfectly and he dropped them in manila envelopes.

i have turned a fair share of PM boxes into first class international boxes... the 7x7x6 box for instance. never been a problem, but i guess we'll see.
  • Yeah, I'm glad I haven't been caught yet flipping boxes. I've done my share, but recently read the whole federal law thing. Don't think it's quite worth the risk anymore.
  • I think I've turned only one Priority Mail box inside out for shipment... Of course, it was disguised and completely covered in duct tape. Haven't done it since, but not necessarily because I found out it was illegal...I just didn't do it anymore.

I do agree with the previously given methods of using the VHS-size Priority Mail boxes. However, I usually use a slightly larger box (i.e. not Priority Mail boxes), so I can wrap a layer of bubble wrap around the box for insulation purposes.
  • wow thanks guys!

I was gonna do that lol.

But since NGD said not to F*ck that now lol!

    Thanks Everyone!

I ordered 25 off the site

anyway NGD how much did they cost you to ship it in those boxes!

    Let me know!
