Have you ever...
...NOT bid on something simply because you know it will end TOO cheap and will result in not getting it anyway?
For example, I bid on a lot of misc stuff that's poorly listed. I often find myself skipping certain lots because I just have a funny feeling that if I won it, I wouldn't get it anyway. Like... winning a lot for $.01 w/$1.99 s/h and knowing from experience that the lot will cost at least $5 to ship. Would you skip this or go through the trouble of demanding the items?

I would demand satisfaction! It's an auction, and sellers must assume all risks!
I have found myself with this very situation several times. I usually big and hope for the best. ~~NGD
and how does it usually turn out?

I don't bid on auctions with reserves, If you want a high dollar, why not just list it at that price?
To avoid paying fees if it fails to sell for what you want.
