Also, ideas on how to print or get them printed as well?
Thanks,

Thank you, I'll eventually get them all lined up soon. I was eventually going to make a new thread, but since most of the labels are here already, I'm going to wait until we have some finalized ideas.
Regarding printing, we should already have someone lined up. Those details will follow but it'll probably be about 3-4$ each.
^that is legit awesome, does anyone have a file on it? i'd love that one when i finally get a turbo drive!
Heres something for you guys. I did a black version and a white version. I was planning on getting a white version of the shell so I thought black would be a better contrast, but heres a white version too. It's the smallest of all the labels, so I think this one will have to be the simplest.
The size of the label area should be 38mm x 31.26mm with radius of 1.5mm (1.5in X 1.2in, 0.06in radius) exactly. So I cut off 1mm from the width and 1mm from the height (.5mm the whole way around) so it would fit nicely and not exactly.
I also had an idea for the blackbox one. or just an idea for some kind of logo in general. I thought it'd be neat to have an NES console on there, with the door open and an SD card sliding into the slot instead of a game.
unpolished, but heres one for the N8 via the last suggestion there.
Overall, a great start, but for a few suggestions.
the Everdrive N8 at the top would probably look better in a more retro blocky format. also, if you can get the "Entertainment System" to say "Secure Digital System" i think it would be cool, and somewhat cool looking.
and most of the blackbox games have a more flat 2d art on them, im not sure i can convey what im thinking in just words, but ill try. I think thinking of a more pixel graphics NES, either flat looking down on it from the top, or at and angle, similar to what you have there.
or, after looking at it, something akin to the powerpak, that has the nes on the bottom and the sd card sliding into the top.
edit for more idea: OR, perhaps some sort of perspective shot, looking forward at the NES but also down at a bit of an angle, and having the sd card going in from the front.
i wish i had some sort of graphical design program skills to really show what im thinking. i suppose i could do some random mockup shit in paint or something though =P

Good stuff.
I was trying to keep true to the black box style with the main template, which is why the top looks as it does. Is most cases, its pretty much the same as whats on the front.
I do agree with ya on the main art. That was the night I cranked those three labels out in all in one night heh, so I really didnt do a lotta searching for art. I'll do some digging and see what I can mash up.
Oh and the gameboy may be done. I made a logo for it too, just never uploaded it yet (its on the wifes comp still)
Eric, I really like the SD card nes label but I think Dav3yb made an excellent suggestion about secure digital system and a different font.
Welcome back!
Thanks. I went with the closest thing I could find to the actual black box font (Swiss 721 is what I used) for the title, but I can try something pixel-ish. And were talking right under the main title for the other part right? RIght beside the nintendo logo changing "entertainment system" to "secure digital system"?
As soon as I can get on my wifes laptop tonight, I'll go right on to town with those suggestions.
I've been looking for pixelated system art, but theres nothing really out there. Just that one suggestion davey posted. I'll try to come up with something.

I did a google image search of "Nintendo Pixel Art" and thats where i found that one nes art of it. there were a few more, and some of other systems as well. they are a bit hard to hunt down though. I think one of the things im not super crazy about on the text is that its not lined up like the blackbox text is. in the few blackbox games i own, the title on the front all stretch from one side of the small box where the art is, to the other, its kinda lined up as margins basically. Also, i think the text on top would be fine if it were just a bit smaller. There are a few exeptions to the margins with the title, but usually those games have short titles, and the art is breaking the little box in such a way that it fits. Also, the default label that is on Krikzz site for the N8 is a blackbox-ish art for it... if you can find those labels you might could take some of the assets from it.
I also found some decent stuff on deviant art http://blueamnesiac.deviantart.com/art/NES-Cartridge-286087029 but i know sometimes people can be kinda protective of their stuff there, so if something there just happens to fit perfectly, i'd say ask before using it.
And as for the psudo 3d stuff, its not that its bad, but i feel it just doesnt fit. especially with the blackbox theme overall.
I also broke out my old NES today in an attempt to get it in a really good working state. It's been being a bit finicky, and i've just been using my retron 5 mostly as of late, but that wont cut it for the everdrive. I opened it up and cleaned stuff up as good as i could, but it still was really iffy about wanting to play games. then i figured i'd cut the damn lockout chip, and now just about all my games boot on the first try. so im pretty hype to get this everdrive now!
It loosens dirt off and helps for the metal pins to naturally return to their original state after being forged/stamped. (Physics of metal. Look up memory wire, same principal)

I'll probably do this soon, but sadly the one in there is not the original, way back in the day i bought a replacement for it. I'm pretty sure i've thrown the old one away by now. but so far this one is working really good, though my final fantasy cart seems to only work in the UP position (without depressing the game when its slid into place). As long as the ED will work, im not going to make a big fuss, as i play on getting the AVS when bunnyboy can finally get it to market. I also ordered some new screws for it, since apparently im missing close to half of them, so the next time i take it appart to replace those, ill probably get a boiler and cook my pins up anyways
Also, i just throught of a funny zelda themed label for the everdrive, he could be next to an open chest, and be holding up an SD card. that might be a neat blackbox art theme as well. i might find some time to mock that up myself.
Ok, sorry for the slackassing, I'm gonna get my updated gameboy one uploaded soon. I can shop up the black box art soon after that to change up the title logo (the PSD file was stuck on the wifes laptop, my bad).
A few things though.
What did you guys want for the nintendo seals? I can easily do something like change it to say unofficial, or we can do something more creative if anyone has any ideas? I had one I made with a skull and crossed swords (Looked better than skull and crossbones lol) I cant find right now, but could easily put back together.
And 2ndly, the N64 label. I'm at a loss there, since I never really played N64 for more than maybe 4 hours out of my entire life lol. I did do some research and have the standard logos and whatnot to put something together. I also spoke with spoonTRex from assembler (hes the fella that put together that beautiful looking space styled label listed a few pages back) and he gave me permission to change his up a bit if you guys liked that one.
God I love those labels eric.of.troy. Absolutely incredible work!!!
I'd be very happy to see you riff on spoonTRex's label, which is far and away my favorite ED64 design. One thing to consider is that most of us will leave the ED64 in the console all of the time, and thus on display. My favorite labels are those that are designed to look good while sticking out of the consoles.
When you're all done, maybe consider starting a thread with all of them in one place, along with your artwork files. When I was making labels, I would have killed for nice PSD templates to start from. Thank you again for these excellent designs.

Np! Gotta have a fantastic label for such a great device heh. and thanks to sazyario for setting this up!
Also, heres my change up for the spoontrex one. Honestly, I didnt do much to it; he had a large section of unused stuff embedded in it. It was awesome of him to let us change it up. The blue line around it is a die cut line.

I really like what you've done here. That's very cool that he gave you the orignal artwork and approval to modify the design!
Could you make the ED64 text bigger though, like in the original? Also, the bottom icons could be a bit smaller in my opinion, and the KA rating isn''t necessary since it isn't particularly beautiful.
I'm only suggesting this because you asked for input. Honestly, it looks fucking great the way it is, and I love the glow that you gave the N64 "N' in the center. Professional work eric! I imagine that you will be contacted in that future by label printers asking for permission to distribute these gems.

There are all these awesome stickers now.
Can we make a wiki or something to organize them?
Also, ideas on how to print or get them printed as well?
Thanks,

The third package from Retrogate containing the GB Everdrives and Mega Everdrives have not shipped yet.
I'm imagining it will be around another 2 weeks until people have these in their hands.
I have no clue how this compares to StoneAgeGamer's insane wait list. At least there is a benefit here of price.
Eric, I really like the SD card nes label but I think Dav3yb made an excellent suggestion about secure digital system and a different font.
