Ducktales 2: Box, Manual and styrofoam.

Good day, I have this box and manual it also has the styrofoam. I am not a box kind of a guy. I want to find a value for this so that I may be able to sell it. I have looked at ebay and the price is all over the place. Here are some pictures and thank you for your time.

  • look at completeted listings. take an average. subtract the cart. boom box and manual price.

well you have a picture of the game there so if its cib just go to price charting. This is a common item online.
  • Any chance I can get the post deleted? I need to redo it corecty with the right pictures sorry a bit new but I got the hang of it.

There are several video game stores in phoenix but by far Gameover is the one with the worst reputation in the area, Fallout is an ok store.
  • Oh ok, we'll I am trying to get a price for this box and manual I have but I'm having a hard time uploading the pics...

Try using photobucket or imageshack both are pretty good at uploading and posting quality pictures
  • Manual looks to be in better shape than the box. I recently paid 100 for box only DT 2 which was in much better shape than yours but with the manual id say at least $150. If it were mine, personally i wouldn't take anything less for that box and manual. Good luck with it. Price chartting blows man, you ever look up new/sealed prices of games on there it is quite inaccurate even more so for rare/hard to find games.

Im a critic of price charting but for something as heavily populated online as ducktales 2, its decently accurate. Barely anyone would use it for oricing sealed games. Thats not what this thread is even about.

You are the one that link dropped pricechartting. He came here asking for a price, which I gave him what I felt to be an accurate one. I was just giving him some more info about that crappy website that inflates the value of video games.

I think they undersell the possibilities of price. They are a reactionary site and their pricing slugs behind the trends sometimes. But for carts a cibs they are a great base for price because they deal with averages. Ducktales 2 isnt too rare or anything. Is slways plentiful online. Its a good base price guide

You were talking about sealed games when bitchin about the site when this topic isnt about sealed pricing
  • You do know that one of the largest online re-sellers of video games own price charting, and it would be great for "business" to artificially inflate the value of games. All those ebay auctions that never really happen because people shill bid are getting averaged into those prices on that website. So I don't think its a very accurate guide to go by and I never would recommend it to anyone. A little off topic here, but I am glad someone brought this up.

YES We all know JJ Games runs price charting. But to say its all inflated is ignorance.

well im only seeing paid for listings so if people are willing to pay it then I guess we are all wrong this whole time. I guess things arent what people are willing to pay. Nothing is perfect but there are so many sales of most games 1 or 2 isnt going to affect much. Go find me on there a shill bidded to ridiculous amount for a game in their history of completed sales that made a game look inflated on price. go ahead. prove your statements. And no sealed prices. No one recomends then for a sealed price check. I dont like price charting either. They didnt even record one of my sales on a bin and some averages tend to actually be lower than they should. Just man you need to calm down.  Price charting isnt going to hurt you. Just a tool to use that shows more averages than ebay completed.

Its kind of humorous that price charting has ducktales 2 at 210 complete avg and 120 cart average. So I would then figure  the box and manual are worth about 90. So estimating a slight bump for selling separate which can generally lead to higher cost than buying a CIB you are looking at 110-120 for a realistic good selling price if its in decent shape. Your quote of 150. So who is inflating prices here? Kinda doesnt work with your argument. LMAO

again I dont live by price charting. I rarely even need to look at it since selling games is what I do. But I think on alot of stuff they tend to be on the low side. Being on the low side isnt price inflating. Now if you wanted to discuss how many people use them like the bible since they have grown in popularity causing people to sell their games for generally higher since they are more aware then whatever but that wasnt what you were talking about. You were making the comparison that since they are a large game seller that they are inflating prices. As far as I know JJ Games prices alot of their stuff higher than price charting for more uncommon or rare stuff
  • I PM'd you with evidence to back it up, I don't want to embarrass you any further here.
  • Ok guys his evidence is a cib buster douglas. Rare as shit cib with one recorded sale. Lmao please embarrass me some more

-didnt even provide a nintendo example

-he apparently didnt even do the math on that one and is entirely incorrect.

And Iust looked it up ..In the PM you expressed that it said 900. I see the one sale in there for that. The average price of a CIB on the site says 255 with multiple sales history.....

NOW I averaged all the sales of that cib and without the 900 sale. The average is at 271. So obviously the 900 isnt factored in or devalued because the average shows 255 and there are multiple sales higher and around that number. So you're wrong on that one.

I dont even want to hijack this dudes thread anymore.  he knows a price point. You are ridiculous.
  • Did you ask me for a nintendo example?? I provided you with good information in the PM, you would be wise to take it, or don't.

It wasn't factored in because I had to report it as being a fraud sale, which I didn't tell you in the PM, but you like to run your mouth so ill let you go with it. Embarrass yourself some more Jeff.

    Nes "Hucklebuck" Gangsta Strikes Again
  • Well there are other sold listings all over it. Im sure none of those factored in to the price. I dont believe you. Simple as that. Like I said multiple times even if you factor it in it still doesnt affect much seeing thats its an avg of several. Let it go man. Out of thousands of games you pick one thats not even wrong. Flagging doesnt even auto remove snything. I dont think you even know how that site works. Im done here you. You are so obnoxious. Having to defend a website i dont even like because of your ignorance on the subject. In this topoc you quoted way higher than price charting so I dont think they are inflating anything. You pick one example thats not even correct and not even a good one.
  • Good lord, take it to PM. No one else wants to read this crap.
