What should I do with a Wii Kiosk?

Here's the deal, I have a Wii kiosk that's been sitting collecting dust for some time at the front of my friends store. My options are

A: put a new wii in it, wire it all back up, replace the lock and any burned out bulbs and it would be a 100% functioning Wii kiosk unit. Is there a demand for these things? I can't ship it so that is a very limiting factor.

B: fix it as in option a and then put it at the front of his new store he's opening and let it be a killer display piece for collectors to play with orrrr

C: does this thing have any value as it sits with no wii in it? The monitor is there and everything else is there. Maybe someone would want to fix it themselves?

  • I'd say fix it up if there's not much it's missing or broken. It would make an awesome display for a store.

All I need is a wii (not an issue, they grow on trees) and replace any burnt out bulbs in the thing. I am *hoping* they are standard size bulbs but haven't physically checked yet.

  • Put a Wii in it and enjoy it! Be sure to post some pictures when you are done.
  • I personally won't be enjoying it I'll leave it in my friends store. Don't get me wrong I love my Wii but have you ever played a kiosk for any extended period of time? Standing up the whole time is annoying. lol
  • Mine is used as an awesome tv display, I added a tv mount adapter to allow any size.

Hehe. I went through that issue. Thought it would be cool to have a kiosk. Finally got one (Xbox 360) and was sick of it within the first hour. Sold it the next week. Not my type of novelty item either. Just not comfortable and takes up so much space.

Also, I would fix it up and sell it / use it for the friend. Nothing too complicated there and they sell fairly well through craigslist.
  • Well I'm pretty happy with the solution we came up with. A different local store run by a guy who's pretty cool bought it to fix up and add to his stores collection of "toys". Part of the guys store is dedicated to kiosks and arcade cabs that you can play at no cost. So everyone will get to see it and gamers will get to play it again and ultimately that was the goal. So everyone wins.
