The box and protector for the regular edition is squashed as well, but the cart is fine. I'll spare you those gory photos, we've all seen a squashed box top before, we know what it looks like.

Jason, I don't think you put enough "Fragile" stickers on it, I blame you.

Actually, part of me thinks some kid kicked dropped a shovel on it just because of all the Fragile stickers, to see what it sounded like afterwards.

  • And yes, I realized I asked nobody else to make any new "Hey, I just got my Happy Camper" threads. Sorry image
  • Oh man, that's sucks soo much.
  • wow, i would be f*kin pissed! that was deff done on purpose btw
  • Damn that sucks dude
  • Looks like we share the same mail man!
  • OMG... :*( I thought I packed all these things so they would be safe..UGH! We will work something out Dan.

  • what the hell....that is rediculous, can anything be done.....I mean look at all the fragile stickers
  • What a jerk. NGD should definitely be introduced into the hall of shame for this. image
  • Nothing can be done, not really. It is why the PO offers insurance, but there is no way you can insure every package you send. Plus all the boxes have been packed full of bubble wrap, peanuts, or air pockets. This really does look intentionally.

  • It looks like someone stomped on it. That is a bitch. Bummer dude.
  • Sorry to see and hear about this Dan... That sucks..
I say you call someone you know that works on the PO and cuss them out just to make yourself feel a little bettter.. I wonder who works at the PO???   image
  • Damn, that's brutal.
  • Ouch, very sad to see this mess. Definitely looks intentional and it's a shame that people would try to destroy something just to see how fragile it really is.
  • That sucks.

Ide be waiting for my postman. See if he can answer a few questions.

I have a problem with my Mail man as well. Sometimes he stuffs the priority boxes in my mailbox. I have one of those community mailboxes with like 10 other neighbors. He should put them in the Big Box and put the key to the big Box in my mailbox. And he can fit them through the back but I have to mangle the Box or medium sized bubble mailers to get them out the front. Any suggestions?
  • Aw, I would be really angry. Sorry Dan, sucks that some people have to be assholes.
  • wait, with 1 more donor cart, couldnt jason remake this LE version for dan the man? you gotta have the rest of the supplies (box, manual, label). all you would have to do is send dan the new donor and the other pieces. he could open up his, swap the game out to the new cart, slap on some stickers, and he would have a nice minty copy!

of course, then there would be 2 of the same numbered copy in existence (only 1 cart would actually have the game in it though).
  • ^^If that happens, I want to see pictures of distruction!
  • I would avoid those fragile stickers for sure
  • We put those stickers on all kinds of stuff... image I worked it out with Dan anyways to get this fixed for him. Sucks it happened. I am going to bitch to my postmaster about it.

are you just going to slap on some new stickers to a new donor cart? that seems like it would be the best way to go about it... and i guess there are only 249 copies now (if you have to send a new box)
  • The price of a Mint SE Happy Camper just jumped exponentially. image
  • Man, those photos are ugly. Sorry dude.
  • That sucks man, recieving something damaged is not fun, especialy something like that image.
  • Oh boy. That is awful. Here's to hoping no one else goes through that.
  • Jason, you broke the golden rule bro! Never put fragile on a box image When I worked in a warehouse, anything that said fragile basically meant, "boot, kick, step on, throw, etc".

    I was thinking that too
  • I know it doesn't help, but we all feel your pain.
  • Thanks everyone, for your empathy!

It was bittersweet, knowing that I finally had my copies, and opening it to find the damage. It actually looked like everything would be fine, the football of triple-wrapped bubbles seemed like it was unmarred, but once I peeled away the layers..... well, image

I have to say that Jason called me immediately upon having read this thread, and promised to get on his hands and knees...and make me another. We'll find something creative to do with the destroyed one, I'm sure. In the meantime I'll keep it safe. The only things that will be replaced are the cart plastic and front label, and the two crushed boxes - the ROM is actually fine, and I spent a good hour this afternoon playing. The booklet is also fine, as my Special Edition cart broke the fall of the MAC truck that landed on the parcel.

My variant woodland creature beetle is uncrushed. image

Gameplay is good as far as most color dreams stuff, but it's SO HARD. I haven't beaten the cave (level 2). I got in with like 15 cans, then promptly died, and continuing with no cans sucks a lot. Best I can do is make the froads immolate themselves in pits, which usually leads to me following them down image

Anyways, big ups to Jason for making something right that wasn't his fault, and he could easily just say "Nope, sorry, all out." He had the foresight to get extra parts just in case something like this happened, and has promised to have a replacement to me by the end of the week.

So I get down on my hands and knees, and bow to his generosity.

    Thanks Jason!
