so has any one figured out how to instantaly reappear when falling off rainbow road or sherbet land. i see people fall off right in front of me all the time but instantaly reappear in front of me
I hate rainbow road.. that track is hard.. I need practice on it..
I've never played the Wii version, but if it is anything like Mario Kart 64's Rainbow Road then I'm sure I'd hate it. That level was godawfully long for no reason...
I'm always falling off of the track and having to wait.. I wreck on the same corner over and over again.. it really gets on my nervous.. I'm thinking of trying to pad my TV so I don't break the LCD with the Wii remote..

i have found this out on the mariokartwii forum board, there is an insane amount of people there that play on line.
but ive actually been in secong place right behind the leader and watch them go off the track only to reaapear on the track ahead of me. if lag were the case they would should be in 2 at least.
another thing i noticed there was a guy playing with a 9999 rating 3 star the whole ball of wax. i was watching the small map and he was going twice as fast as everyone else thru the whole race. no one was any where near him.
yes there are hackers that can use any item that they want, when they want it... so this may explain the guy who was going 2 times faster than anyone.
but the falling off the edge thing is lag at least everyone at the mariokart site says so. its your system just recalibrating where they are, they dont even really fall off the edge it just shows that on your screan and your system puts them where they should be in accordiance with your guy. it is the internet it cant be perfect.
cheating sucks.. that's why we need to keep having a NA meeting for Mario kart on Fridays, I hope none of you are cheating, but I don't think anyone here would be that cheap..
Friday at 8pm CST/ 9pm EST again this week? I haven't played anymore since last friday, but it's still fun, actually my wife and I take turns racing you guys.. I still need to practice alot though, I've only completed the 50cc cup races on my game..
^^ only one problem... this friday is the NA nage hunt at like 8pm eastern i think...
other than that i have no prob with a mariokart night every week.. we just need to get more people like we said last week...

the way to get the 1 2 and 3 star ranking next to your name is to play the regular grand prix rases aginst the computer. depending on how good you do it issuse you a rank A, B, C, D, 1, 2, 3 STAR yada yada yada.. to get a 3 star rank you pretty much have to race every single race flawlessly, i mean you aomost cant even hit the dirt at any time... my bro has a 3 star rank and i have a 2 star..
also it is very tough to maintain a 9000 rating online, my high online is 8900 my brother had reached like 9800 2 weeks ago but is back down around 9000 now...
as for ways to cheat im not sure how many there are or how many people do it. we all know about the hackers for sure, but beyond that im not sure if anyone is cheating. some people literally play this 27/7 and are just unbelievabley good!

not exactly true, you must use the wii wheel EXTENSIVELY to obtain a gold stearing wheel icon when you race online. you may do this during regular grand prix style racing so go play the entire game, every cc and mirrors too. try to get yourself a 1 2 or 3 star rank then you may have played enough with the wheel to get a gold stearing wheel icon when your online.
also you can go into license settings to see the time % that you have used the wheel.. there are also a bunch of intristing stats in your license settings so go have a look.
