Can anyone tell me the exact colors of the original Famicom system? A picture I could print out would be great also. I want to do an NES in the style of the old Famicom system. Any suggestions to help me out would be great also. Thanks!

    the "body" and shape of an american NES looks nothing like a famicom though. i doubt anyone is going to make the connection on colors alone...

    Well I have a few people say it would be a good idea and were interested in one. I am thinking Dark red metallic controllers with the middles painted gold. For the system, Dark red bottom half, white top half, gold power/reset, gold Nintendo logo, and the black trim pieces painted gold.  Or should I paint the top half gold instead of white with white logo and white trim pieces?

    I absolutely would make the connection. The colors for the famicom are unique, its like a yellowish white and weird off red. Plus, look a the famicom controllers, painted properly (and I know Jared will pain them properly image ), a NES controller could look very similar and very good.

    It would work better to mod a top loader, I think.

    heres an idea. get some real famicom controllers and wire a NES plug onto them?

    Sansuii Joycard controllers are much more like Famicom.

    Why not just paint a top-loader NES to look like an AV Famicom? Should be SUPER EASY to make one look like the other. LOL!
