Just a heads up, I have that 8gb Samsung microsd card you linked in the first post and it is not compatible with the Turbo Everdrive or the Everdrive GB. It does work fine in Mega Everdrive though. I'm using Sandisk microsd cards fine in my Turbo Everdrive and Everdrive GB.

What class and memory size sandisk? I have a class 4 8gb sandisk micro sd lying around in my house.

The two cards I use for my Turbo ED and ED GB are Sandisk 8gb class 4. I just tried the 8gb Samsung microsd in my ED64 and it works fine (I usually use a Sandisk 16gb class 4 with ED64). I'm guessing from my limited test that the Samsung isn't compatible with Everdrives that use a CPLD, but works fine with those that use a FPGA.
So what's the difference between the Mega Everdrive and the Everdrive MD3?

Thanks. I read that on the product webpage, but still don't know what the difference is. Is there a benefit to one over the other? The MD3 seems to be quite a bit cheaper than the Mega Everdrive. They both seem to do pretty much the same thing so I'm trying to figure out what the benefit to buying the more expensive one is.

Gotcha.
Well, in essence, the mega everdrive has faster loading. You can also choose between using microSD or regular SD (it has both), which really only effects the shell (if using micro, you wont need to cut the shell out there for it). It supports those few titles that are over 7Mb in size. You can also take screenshots in regular genesis games which I found neat. Also has the USB port for homebrew devs. Lastly, and a big one if you plan on using the sega CD, it can function as backup ram for the SegaCD.
For most people, they like the fact that its faster and they dont need to cut out the shell for the SD card.
Do we have to have 10 of a specific type to make this group buy? I am interested in Master ED, Turbo ED and Everdrive md v 3. Any chance of anyone doing shells for the Sega carts? Thanks
Yes. I see a shell service available for Super Famicom cases at Retrozone, but not one for US SNES. I'm just curious if one will be available for this round of purchases. I'm interested in a N8 and SD2SNES but I don't have the time to shell them myself right now.

Retrogate didn't make me have 10 of a specific type last time. So I hope they dont this time
Please respond again and I will add you to the list.

EDIT: Shell for a US SNES System.
I'd also like the shelling service for theN8, and would be interested if you end up doing shelling for the others as well.
Will add everyone later tonight.
