  • I dunno, but this is something I've wanted to do myself for a long time now.
  • Yeah, I built my own 4 player cabinet a few years back, was good fun building it as I had no woodworking skills before I started!

It's evolved a bit since those pics, newer, bigger tv and a solid stand for the TV, but the main control panel and panel base remain the same.

http://arcadecontrols.com is by far the best resource for information about building your own.

Here is a mame cabinet, for four players. It costs over $6000
  • Zzap,

    nice setup

    what did that run ?

the cabinet that costs over $6k is way over priced

if it came with a 60" plus all the gear it would be worth it...lol

I guess I would find a couple local guys

    1. a cabinet maker

    2. and a professional painter

I think I can find good artists and cabinet makers for low prices

NY has many people competing for business...lol

I dont think it would be hard setting up all the emu warez myself
  • I run mame, and emulators for most consoles. I acutally set up a front end with a list of "Best Ofs" for each year (Max around 15 games per year I think) that spanned arcade and consoles from 1977ish. Is great fun image
  • As a professional carpenter, this is something I would like to do one day, when I own my own home.  I don't have room for it in my apartment.  I've heard MAME mentioned before, what is a MAME?
  • It's the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, basically an emulator for nearly every arcade platform - ever! It's a crazy big project, and the emulation is amazing!
