I am in the process of reoraganizing and have come across the following sealed games - BeetleJuice, Bases Loaded 3, Hudson Hawk, and Star Tropics II. Considering opening them, but unsure if their info is needed for the list or if I'd be better off leaving them sealed. Any advice appreciated.
Good, good! You are a boon to the gaming community, though we have yet seen your compilations.
For me, I only care about the manual. If the manual is bad, doesn't have the corresponding box art on its cover page, the game is considered rubbish to me, even if the gameplay's awesome and it came from Nintendo.
Can't help feeling sorry for those who blew hundreds or even thousands on a new copy of Megaman X only to open it and... see a fully black-and-white manual indicating the whole thing was a Mexico-assembled Majesco re-release.
I wonder how many people committed suicide because of this, never mind the environmental collateral damage that is to be expected as well.

It would be very helpful to this project to open all of those except Star Tropics II. Just post the contents (with codes) the same way you've seen others do in this thread. Thanks in advance

Where's the master list? And I didn't know you did other systems too, I just opened a bomberman hero. I did not remove the contents tho, just the shrink, if its needed. Also, I have a sealed NES Play Action Football I haven't bothered to open because I have the play cards and manual already. But if it will help the list, I'll slit it.

^ I just got five more sealed games in the mail from eBay (which will all be opened of course!) and I'm planning on posting an updated list if I can ever find the time
This project definitely is not dead, though, even if it's original creator (wiz) has fallen completely off the map
BASIL!!! I thought you had fallen off of the map too! Where have you been guy?
Quoted for emphasis...I was also wondering what had happened to you.
Edit: I'm still mulling it over, opening a factory-sealed Bases Loaded 4 that I have lying around here (outside of Sunday Funday and the obligatory Win, Lose, or Draw, it's the only sealed NES game I own). I very well may put it to a poll...
^ Poll, schmoll... open that sucker up! As for wiz, he hasn't gone anywhere, he's just completely lost interest in posting/reading about nes on the internet. Will he ever be back? Who knows! As for me, I'll be back in the swing of things at some point, but I've still got a tonne of work to do...
Alright... I'm about to do something I haven't done in about 18 years... Which is to say, open a sealed NES game. And that game is: Legacy of the Wizard. (Or possibly Dr. Chaos if I change my mind at the last second.) Allow me to take a few shots of courage, (or a half bottle of rum, you know, whatever's clever,) and I shall be right with you...
...And with that, I couldn't connect to the site for the rest of the night. Weird. Anyway, I opened it, and it had... *drumroll*
The game in a plastic bag & a plain black dust sleeve The manual NES-LC-USA (in color! Fancy.) A Nintendo Power add advertising the NEW Nintendo Power, with only six issues a year! (Wow, I never knew they used to only publish one every other month!) And a Broderbund poster, advertising The Battlefields of Napoleon, Deadly Towers, (Ha!) Legacy of the Wizard, and The Guardian Legend.
That was pretty fun! Maybe I'll open some other games too.

Hey good work man! But in order for your info to be useful for this project, I'm going to need the code on the poster, the code on the cart, the code on the NP insert, and the code on the box (which can be found on the top right inside flap). Thanks a bunch.
