And why isn't the "Zelda Egg Quest" from Mario Paint a more common thing? Marketed carefully, it could sell like Hot Cakes! Think about it. Following the characters from clue to clue until you find Zelda and an Easter Egg in a treasure chest? How freakin' boss is that?
Got this set for $15. Cheapest one I've found so far and Amadeus looks like it had never been played. I don't planning on ever getting rid of it so it gets to sit on the shelf next to my Sanyo Betacord and Sony Video 8 player.

Mine is missing a small cap at one end of the central rod - but I wne\\ent to the harware store and found a nice chome endpiece to replace it.
Mine had all three dice however (the one in the auction only has two) - they are white as opposed to red and are 1.25 inches in size. They look like they are made of bakelite.
Mine has a tag on it identifying it as having been made by Crisloid Plastics which is still in business. I emailed them and they are going to try to pin down the dates when they made those.

It's a Pioneer CLD-D505.
All you need is a microphone and you will be in business. ^____^
So a lot of people I know have been making fun of me for purchasing 37 Periodic Table of the Elements shower curtains, but screw them! I think they are awesome and I have been selling them at the university I attend (I am a chemistry major). Still have 29 left to sell, but I think they will go in no time. Been selling them for only $10 each which is pretty darn reasonable
I've never read this thread before. Got this last year:
Still sealed. Didn't even know it existed until that day. Had to pull out my smart phone to confirm it was real (I was at a car boot sale) Got it for £10 ($16).
Found another Laserdisc Player. This time, it was at my Goodwill and it was $10. I found it odd that it was there as my Goodwill is far from anything and Laserdics seemed to have only sold well in metropolitan areas. And for those wondering, it's a Pioneer CLD-M301.
I hit up a Thrift Store this morning even though I know this place NEVER has games:
I needed Raiders to finish up my Indiana Jones collection and The Last Starfighter is an underrated classic IMHO.
I walked towards the VHS section and that Blockbuster rental case stuck out like a sore thumb. Immediately I grabbed it. It didn't matter what movie was in there, I just wanted one of those rental cases. So many great memories of Blockbuster. To my surprise and joy the label said "Abbott and Costello meet The Invisible Man". A rental case AND a classic horror film. JACKPOT!
And I had a good laugh when I saw it was from Gulfport, Mississippi, a town 1200 miles from me.
Ok so sorry for the crappy pics, but I think I totally scored on this one. Hewlett Packard 41CV calculator with Math I mod. Paid a whopping $1 for this thing. Seems like they go for $150+ with a mod (some mods seem more valuable than others). Very interesting and cool calculator. Top of the line for 1979!! Pics:
while doing my hunting for electronics/stuff I come across items for myself here's some stuff
killing joke 1st print
death of elektra and 1st cameo of doomsday
1st app of cable
harley quinn 1st story
gigantor toy
boxed 80's voltron
this was a good pick up, a buddy of mine basically bought all this at a garage sale.
he made is money back by selling the pedals that are on the side and I bought the crate stack from him (and at a good price too)
So the majority of the stuff above was found at swapmeets.
I'm always looking at comics, it's been back as a main focus of mine again. I started reading them when I was young and always liked them more than games/toys.
Ok so pretty awesome, but a few days later I returned to the same Goodwill that I found the HP-41CV calculator at and found the original box, instruction booklets, and overlays etc. I spoke with a lady there that I know and mentioned that I bought the calculator a few days ago and this is the box etc that goes with it. She talked to the manager and they ended up giving it to me for free, incredible! All of this for a whopping $1 total!
Double score! And really cool of the employees to do that for you and cooler again that the employees even cared enough to put the two together.
Most employees I run into at Goodwill don't care. Ran into Legendary the board game at a Goodwill once, mentioned how unfortunate it was incomplete, and the cashier casually remarked it got flipped, stuff fell out, and all that stuff was thrown away.
Went hunting today with the family, and came up empty in regards to games. Nothing I found that I wanted to add to the collection. However, upon walking back toward the electronics section at Goodwill, I found this beauty starting directly at me. I couldn't say no. I do love guitar stuff, and for $5, why not? I'm sure it being modified to have the AC adapter permanently wired in devalues it, as well as beat-up condition (which I love)...but I tell you what, this thing sounds daaaaamn good. It's great as just a straight-up OD when switching from a clean tone, or as a niiiiice fat lead boost. Man this thing sounds killer. I love it.
I see Zeldaboy posted his calculator he found at Goodwill, so I figured I might as well post my calculator I found at Salvation Army a couple of day's ago. The calculator itself and all of the paperwork is pretty minty, the box is nice although is does show a bit of wear on the edges. Thought it was a good deal for 4 bucks though. Not nearly as valuable as Zeldaboy's though.

What, this isn't the "Finders Traders" thread?
Some post here are more Finders Here-Is-What-I-Sold-It-for then Finders Keepers.
That's the joke.

What model is that player?
I recently acquired one of these for about $30:

If you're ever in the mood, I'll give those Criterion Laser Discs a good home

very nice! Don't care for the record as a whole, but I think it's the last album actually worth a listen. Valentine's day is a great tune.
