Wii disc drive failed?

in Help Wanted!
I went to load a GC game on my Wii. It went in, made a strange clicking noise, and spit the game back out. I tried with a Wii game, and it did the same thing, but no clicking. Any help?



EDIT: It clicks with a Wii disc too

    try cleaning it with a wii disk drive cleaner. other than that im not sure

    I would take it apart,clean the laser and grease the rails.

    I have had that problem in a couple of systems I fixed.

    A belt has broke or fallen off the gears. This is not letting the disc fall into its spot required to play.

    Easy to fix if you have the right tools and simple know how...

    Ah man,

    I have not taken one apart in years. The way I learned was to open it up and see what does nto look right. Most likely you will notice.

    You need special tri-wing screwdrivers and to be careful about not tearing the eject/power button on the faceplate. If you try to unplug it, you can tear out the wires. Done that a couple times myself.
