Caltron 6 in 1 Purchase
in Help Wanted!
Hey all!
Just found a Caltron 6 in 1 on a Norwegian auction site in great condition for 140$ and bought it. I am just wondering, is there any way to tell if it is the real deal or not? I heard there were some counterfeit stuff going around, but from what I can see (not to experienced with game collecting yet) it is authentic. What do you guys think? He will mail it tomorrow and I still got time to cancel the purchase if some of you notice if something is off.

Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Not sure if this was supposed to be under Help Wanted or Collector's Corner. Move thread if I posted wrong

Hopefully someone else can confirm for you but thought I'd at least try to help.
I've seen pictures of the same label around the web, but I just would like it confirmed Since I am pretty new to the game collecting thing I rather ask twice and triple check everything.
Thinking maybe I should have posted this in the collectors forum oh well!

i think its real. the best way to know is to open it up and see if there are eep roms in stead of regular rom. (eep roms will have a small sticker over the middle of the chip.) or you can check the numbers on the cart as well.
A Caltron would be incredibly difficult to fake because of the special board, I'm pretty sure. Having EPROMs proves or disproves absolutely nothing.

Look's legit in the photo's. That back is a know variant, not sure what the story behind it is (could be PAL OR SCN), but you don't see it as often as the black label back.
Thanks for all the replies
So does it mean this label is abit rarer than the one with black? This cart was bought here in Norway. I tried to search for some answers if the PAL-B version is rarer or less rare than the NTSC version, but to no avail. At least the cart is in a really good condition!
The guy who is selling it has all sorts of stuff for sale at the moment. A garage sale of sorts I guess. He told me his uncle bought the game for him back in the day. I will take a picture of the board when I get it next week.

Some folk's say that it's more rare, but I really don't think it matters. They both play on NTSC systems and sell for around the same price.
I wanted to open it to clean it and take a picture for you guys to see, but I am struggling abit to get it open. I don't want to force it, but I can't get the pieces of the cart apart. Haven't tried using more force since I am afraid I will break the cartridge. Anyone who has this cart that could explain?
