Wii U and Netflix
so, i got my Wii u a few months ago, i hooked it up in our living room, the only console ( other than a toaster) thats out there. i loaded up Netflix ( ar maybe it was already loaded, cant recall) and set it all up. Now, for some reason, every time my wife and i sit down at night to watch a TV show or movie ( lets just say between 6 and 8 pm, roughly) we cannot get more than a minute or two into the show before it needs to stop and "buffer". this turns a 40 minute show into a 2 hour long debacle. Tonight i finally hooked up the PS3 out there, its updating, lets see if it fares better.
has anyone else had this issue?

thats how it was when we had the wii hooked up. used to work flawlessly for hours without a pause to load.
but we also moved, idk if the internet is a bit wonky here or not, causing it to not load properly.

it may be basing it bandwidth capabilites based on your old internet connection. Go to the internet options menu in the system config and resetup your network connection. It will redo the speed test and adjust accordingly. See if that fixes it.
On the other hand my PS3 may be slower at times to ramp up the quality. It starts fast but but poor.
Actually that may be the issue. Netflix is aggresive about quality even to the point of clearing the buffer if it thinks it can up the quality. The Wii U may not be as good at adapting to speed loss so it's trying to keep high quality when the PS3 would jump down a peg. In that case the problem is your internet as Netflix should be able to play well on any speed and if the speed is consistent it will adapt properly.
To the OP, you need to do a speedtest.
