treadmill, collectibles, air filter

ok my house doesn't have a lot of room for collectibles to be placed properly.  theres my room on the 3rd floor that gets really hot. theres the middle floor with no space.  and finally theres the bottom room with the most cold place most of the year but theres a treadmill in the room.  ive measure that my collectibles are 18 feet away from the treadmill and theres a mid-sized fan always blowing cool air on the person to keep the cool.  Now i don't have anywhere else to put this but I was curious is there any fan filtere or air purifere i should get to place right next to my collectibles.  mostly everything out on display is either in a vga case or my n64/snes boxes are in a cga acrylic case both with uv protection.  I was curious what your guys take on this would be and what should i do from there.

  • Doesn't sound like there an issue? As long as the humidity isn't a factor you should be ok. What made you think there was an issue?
  • idk, i thought due to the prespiration of humans after exercising would affect my collection over an extensive time. the only ones i have out on display are in a glass case, you know the straight up see through rectangle ones.
  • heat (can warp physical carts themselves) and humidity (can warp boxes/instructions) are going to be your two main issues ... if neither exists, you should be fine

All the more reason not to exercise...lol You should be fine with a little extra heavy breathing.

  • Air purifiers work wonders if you have a dusty collection room. Mine was awful at my old place. New place with air purifier, I could dust once a year and still be fine.
