I've changed my mind from my earlier post in this thread... my new "gem" would either be my FEDA: Emblem of Justice Limited Edition that Vlad and I produced... or the amazing Breath of Fire 2: Retranslated we also produced.
I'm still very happy that I had a part in making those things a reality... and Vlad's designs really kick all sorts of ass.
I am pretty proud of the maps I have made on excel for a few games - Golden Axe Warrior, Brigandine, Dark Wizard and Warsong. I would like to do more - but they take an immense amount of time.
Some great stuff posted guys. Lets try and respect the op's wish and show only one item though For my part Im not sure what mine would be; it changes. Ill take a pic of something tonight.
as I say mine changes all the time, but currently its probably this. Sure, its a common game, common sealed even but you're talking white seal variants. At best you find a gold seal but you're not finding a hangtab. If you're lucky enough to find a hangtab, it sure as heck won't be a sticker sealed. This is the only one I've seen. And high grade as well. And what is really by far the most important game on the NES and the most important game nintendo ever published. IMHO.
Talk about a holy grail, this is the most beautiful sealed game I've seen, a true piece of gaming history. Congrats on finding this gem!

Shenmue 2 is my personal favourite. I was so disappointed to find out that the North American version was cancelled. God bless EB games for custom ordering the UK version. Me and my buddy were 2 of 3 copies ordered at that particular EB games, I guess a lot of people didn't really know that they were doing that. Anybody know if its rare at all?
Quite a few that I just love owning and displaying. Duck tales 2, Armed for Battle LE, signed LLFLL, NWC repro from retrousb, rolling Nintendo cart (storage-type item) with Mario sticker, cart only mega man 1-6.
My gem though has to be my sealed Pokemon red, blue and yellow. If I had to pick one I'd say yellow because it's the only graded one.
There are some amazing items in this thread! I was going to post in this thread a while back, but it had been months since anyone had posted. Now that the thread has been brought back to life, I will post some of my gems. I have multiple items that mean a lot to me in my collection, so I will post a few of them. If I posted everything that mean a lot of me, it would be about 1/4 of my collection, so I will just post a few of my random favorite things.
First item is my Gold Punch Out. I have the box, but it displays much better without the box.
Next is my Sega Saturn kiosk. I looked for this for a loooong time and finally found one in amazing condition.
Next is my Virtual Boy kiosk and under it in this picture is my Mortal Kombat trophy from a tournament put on by Midway wayyy back for MK3.
Next is my Starfox Super Weekend competition cartridge and Starwing competition cartridge
Next is my probably my favorite item of all. Its my Donkey Kong Country Competition cartridge complete with the box.
Next is my recently graded Friday the 13th for NES graded at 95 and my Gameboy prototype Nail N' Scale
Next is my Killer Instinct SNES standee
Lastly is my Mortal Kombat statue collection
I was going to post my CIB Clay Fighters Sculptor's Cut in amazing condition, but can't find the pictures right now. Anyway, sorry for the picture heavy post, but these are definitely some of my favorite items from my collection. I have so many favorite items like old standees, banners, and so much memoribilia I have collected for years and years. One day soon I will have to post everything I have in the post your collection thread.
Of course this thread a ton of replies.... it's just a big "Who has the bigger dick" contest here. I mean, really.... it's fine. NA is an amazing place to see items, learn, and discuss some of the coolest stuff out there. I'm happy people are showing it off!!
There are is some AMAZING merch seen here.
The gold Punch-Out!! is a thing of beauty....
To the OP... the gem of my collection would probably be.... Bonk's Adventure. That's the one I'm happiest about. I always remember going to my friends house and playing it on an alien, godlike, and vibrant console (The TGFX16)... only years later to learn it was ported to NES as well. So fun.
Too bad you don't have a MORTAL KOMBAT 2 cab, you could show that as the real gem vs that MK 3 cab.
(For the record, I was one who always defended 3 when it came out and people claimed it sucked vs 2, or acted like the combo system somehow made it cheap)

Just because I don't have it in the pictures does not mean I do not own one lol
Really though, my favorite MK cabinet is my MK4 cabinet because it has the boards inside for every MK game. As far as looks go, the MK2 cabinet is the best looking because of Raiden looking like a beast on the side art and MK1 cabinet is a close 2nd because Johnny Cage and the dragon are on the side art. Arcade machines and kiosks are some of my favorite things to collect because of how awesome they look in general. Its like my childhood all together in my home.

If I can count pinball, it's my Twilight Zone. It's my favorite game of all time and I've put a ton of work and mods into it to make it beautiful.
If I had to pick one video game it's my No Mercy 1.1
I have rarer and more desirable stuff. This isn't expensive, and if there was any demand for it I bet way more copies would come out of the woodwork. I spent months, over a year on-and-off, trying to find one though. I love wrestling, I love No Mercy, and just from a player's perspective it's not just a rare variant, it fixes a major save game deletion bug in the game!

I think probably my (albeit incomplete) Ys collection. I hope to eventually own all the games in the series, but for now I have all of the PSP, Vita, and PS4 games, as well as cart-only Ys 3 on SNES. I just really love the series, and am happy to have all the Limited Editions that I do.

How can you tell it's 1.1?
-1 in the product code after USA:
Prepare to squint at 100s of terrible Ebay pics to find one I only paid $13 for mine though. I love uncommon stuff that no one really cares about.
For me, it's my sealed Super Metroids, Joyride Samus figures, and the glow in the dark Super Metroid poster. It would be very hard for me to part with any of it.

Twilight Zone owning Hungarians unite! LOL
Damn, maybe the only two on Earth! No one I know in Hungary even knows what pinball is. My uncle vaguely remembered it as "Oh the bing bing flipper flipper game?".

hahah yes! My Dad (he's from the Italian side of the family) said that it in Italy they just called it "Flipper" so maybe that was more common in Europe?
How long have you had yours? Have had mine a couple months only and I love it, but it also pisses me off as it seems I get punished badly when I miss a shot. (I'm not very good though and haven't been into pinball that long). The music is awesome on it, super catchy
Heres some of the cool shit I have, nothing too crazy
PS: everyone needs to play IllBleed
I could not get into Illbleed, probably needed to play it when it came out, bought it when i was pickin up Dreamcast games again and quickly sold it. Cool stuff though! Still want that Pocky box!

I own both, amazing job!
I'm pretty attached to my CiB copy of Final Fantasy III on SNES, though.
- Earthbound cartridge only
- Super Mario World CIB
- Conker's Bad Fur Day CIB
- Shenmue 2 UK Import for dreamcast

This Pixel Pal is no joke. Very well made and shines nicely! I got mine from my Seret Santa last year. Good gift for sure!
