  • I love this thread, so I'm gonna bump it. Just this once.

    That, and I'm hungry.
  • I used to get the Chicken Bacon Ranch until I realized 9 dollar sandwiches are outrageous. So I've switched to the Italian BMT.

Veggies: Cucumber, Spinach, Tomato, Olives, Mushrooms (if the subway has them, usually they don't). Onions.

Pita pit is way better by the way, if you have one in your area you should check it out.
  • I think this thread is worth a bump

    *Bumps*
  • from subway, ill usually get a cold cut, or club, or steak and cheese.

but every time i go to subway i wish my town still had a Quiznos.
  • Foot-long-double-meat-cold-cut combo with American cheese, olives, banana pepper rings, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, on white bread with Mayo, salt, pepper, and oil & vinegar. When made at a 'good' Subway, I have a foodgasm devouring one.

Edit: I want to stress I would get these subs back when it was V-cut style.

Whoops forgot the Olives (the most important part)

  • Not big on subway, but when I go there I get all veggies, I dunno the meat there sketches me out
  • Roasted chicken on herbs and cheese, toasted, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onions, bell peppers, and either sweet onion sauce, or chipotle sauce and jalapenos. Alternatively, same sandwich but roast beef instead chicken, and get light mayo for the sauce (for some reason it tastes better to me than the regular) and add salt and pepper. If I want to eat a bit healthier I get the chicken with wheat bread, spinach instead of lettuce, no cheese, and the sweet onion sauce. But I basically always get the same veggies otherwise.

Honestly I can't say Subway is the best sandwich place around, but I get in the mood for Subway same as I get in the mood for frozen pizza even when I could eat at Grimaldi's. It's good in its own way. Only thing is the smell of their bread sticks to you all day...
  • I miss when they actually had $5 footlongs. But i typically get footlong honeyoat chicken bacon ranch, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green pepper, and banana peppers
  • Footlong veggie delight on honey oat, all veggies minus relish hots and jalepenos, olive oil, salt, vinegar.
  • Italian BMT w/ provolone, lettuce and red wine vinegarette.

I used to go to Subway all the time but prices kept climbing so I had to start bringing lunch to save money. I don't know if all locations have the same prices but there are sandwiches that are $10! Seriously, there are delis around here that are cheaper than that (and better).
  • I thought subway was the shit when I was younger because it was founded in my home town, and happy gillmore made me wanna eat them lol
  • I lean toward whichever one is on sale for the month
  • I enjoy:

    Double Philly Cheese Steak

    Peperjack Cheese

    Lettuce

    Banana Peppers

    Mayo

    Chipotle

    Italian Herbs and Cheese!
  • I enjoy the club. I take on a whole wheat bun. Sometimes I like it with jalapeños. I don't bother melting the cheese.
  • I always get either a traditional ham or Italian BMT sandwich on white bread with light mayo, lettuce, pickles, and American cheese. Also surprised no one has mentioned Jimmy John's when bringing up other sub shops, can't beat a Vito with a side of Jimmy chips.
  • Time for a necrobump of sorts (Almost forgot I made this)

Had to go back and dust off the ol' Subway thread since... well recently some of you wonderful goons really love Subway. I mean REALLY love it.

5-star must go-to place in Canada from what I hear.
  • I'd rather eat a sandwich I find on the subway than eat at Subway

Well, that just goes without saying. You can't find a better sub than one that's subterranean.   lol

  • Go to zeros. Tuna sub, add hot peppers. Add baked fries
  • Subway. Is. The. Worst...... the end
  • You can take that trash, throw in in the garbage and then drive over to Sub Station II.

Lol. I used to like Subway. A cheap sandwich that, though not great, was good enough. But, after getting noro virus after eating there, I've not been able to go back. I don't think it was Subway's fault because the sickness hit me about an hour after I ate my sandwich, but the link is still in my mind. *shudder*

But, when my family wants to go to Subway (it's one of 3 restaurants in our town) I now get a Pizza. Mama De Luca pepperoni pizzas remind me of old school, 80s Book-It pizzas. For a personal pan pizza, it's actually not bad at all.
  • I don't like the way Subway smells.
  • Is it just me or did Subway's prices skyrocket in the last 2-3 years. Like I'm paying almost double what I used to. I used to go to Subway every day when they had $5 footlongs. I mean that was the cheapest lunch you could get around where I work. Thinking about how often I went there now disgusts me since it's pretty much garbage. But sandwiches are like $9 apiece now, and with a drink and a bag of chips I'm paying $13 for lunch at Subway. In the area I work in, it used to be the only option as far as sandwiches go, but since then a few other (much better) sandwich places have opened and now I never go to Subway anymore. On the extremely rare occasion I do go there now, it pretty much only serves as a reminder how expensive it's gotten and how gross it still is.
  • They don't make em like to they used-ta.

I thought the same thing.   Used to go to the one near my house years ago fairly often (the $5 footlong days).   I'll occasionally stop at one and noticed the same thing.   About the only $5 deal is a 6 inch with chips and a drink, and it's one of the bare bones 6 inchers.

  • Looks like Bounce's lil plan of turning everyone against me via Subway and their shitty sandwiches has backfired.
  • I had Subway yesterday out of necessity and blech... I may be dying, bois.

Nah, the plan was to convert you... but alas, I have failed.   It seems that your posse's got your back on this one. lol

Dang. You all betrayed me. LOL What happened to Subway the past four years since the last post in this thread before I bumped it? Y'all used to love their sammiches! hahahaha

I stopped going to Subway after they implemented $6 footlongs in my area. To be clear, it wasn't like it was great food to begin with, but after years, and years, and years of slamming the $5 footlong into my brain via advertising with that fat pedophile, seeing a $6 footlong just felt like a scam.
