Selling 20 Rares on EBay f2, little samson etc

Have significant tax bill coming up and trying to get a fair value for the rarer games I don't play anymore.  Looking for some friendly advice from folks on my ebay listing.  Thanks.

  • You will probably yield a lot better result by listing individually.

Agreed. Might take a bit longer to sell, but you'll get more money!

Not to mention I can't imagine many collectors who are in the market to buy F2 or Samson want to buy a bunch of other semi rare titles.
  • Yea list the items individually. The only people interested in buying a lot like that are people re-selling it or looking to snag it for a deal for their collection. If you want near fair value, you probably won't get it by selling in a lot.

If you list individually, you get the option of more pictures for each item, so take plenty of pictures of each item showing all details and any imperfections. People will be more willing to purchase an item they feel comfortable knowing the condition of.

I know you don't have much to work with in a lot listing, but people searching "flintstones dinosaur peak" (for example) can't find your lot because it is referenced as "F2" in the title. You actually also referenced it as "Flintstones 2" in the item description. So even if people use the "search description" option in their search (most don't though), they STILL can't find it. A big part about listing on eBay is making sure you are hitting all the big search terms. if you list individually, make sure to give the item a good title with plenty of key search words so people can find the item easily. Most people don't use the "search description" option, so don't count on that too much. So for F2, something like "Flintstones 2 Surprise Dinosaur Peak - Nintendo NES rare F2" would be good

Also daylight, as opposed to artificial light or camera flash, makes the items look a lot nicer.
  • Everyone here is dead on. Sell them individually auction style with a low start and payment due in 48 hrs. You'll have fair market value in barely over a week.
  • thanks guys. I'll change some things around see if there are any offers the next couple weeks then probably try individuals.
  • I would def. be interested in a few. But as a lot i would pass because I have some of them and don't want to pay for games I already have.
  • surprised youve had zero offers
  • I actually got an offer that wasn't completely insulting.
  • It's just people thinking they're being funny when all they're doing is making the auction look interesting at best.

Just say "Unfortunately I can not accept your offer. Thank you."
  • Individually listing them is definitely the way to go. Good luck with the sales! Selling rare games is a lot harder than common Mario, Zeldas, Pokemon, etc. If you aren't able to sell them for a fair price, I suggest letting go of some more common, yet desirable games. They tend to always go for market value.
  • Another problem I see it that you have zero feedback as a seller. That will scare alot of people away. usually people with no feedback, and alot of rares are scammers, and the community is easily scared off.
  • You guys were definitely right about getting a better price listing individually. I don't have the patience, though I'm happy with the price I sold for since I've had some of these games for quite some time.

Mods can lock or delete or whatever the standard procedure is or not.
  • How much did you sell them for if you dont mind telling ?
