Picked up toon link , bowser, shiek , and got lucky to get Lucario before they pulled him. This was at tru in arlington tx. Other stores may have them but won't sell (hurst tx). If you're in the dfw area start calling the stores. As far as supply there was a ton if bowsers. Two toon link and shiek. Lucario was in the back and since I called before they revoked him they were cool and sold him anyways.
Dang it, at least wait until the street date so that we have a fair chance of getting these figures. I can't be snooping around every freaking morning to see if they've received stock yet as I have better ways to spend my time and gas. I still need to get Smash Bowser and Toon Link as I never preordered those. My import Rosalina/Rosetta are currently in route from across the pond (both ways). Meta Knight and King Dedede are on preorder at Best Buy. I'm gonna walk in with my slip early morning February 1st and hopefully I get lucky.
Also anybody know if preorders are open yet for wave 4? I need to get Pacman, Wario, and MP Toad. Not buying the MP duplicates. Also not getting every Smash character unlike some people, but if any of my "must have" characters turn up unobtainium, I'll be pissed.
Then there's the issue of potentially uber collectable characters from future waves such as the Duck Hunt Duo and Zero Suit Samus. I'll be upset if I don't get those...
Maybe I should get some trade bait if future Amiibo become hard to obtain. What do you guys think would make good wave 3 trade bait for future rares? I will have two import Rosalinas in my collection but I have no idea yet if she'll be hard to find or freaking everywhere come February.
FYI, in the event I pick up some Amiibo as trade bait, I don't plan on scalping any extras or unwanted characters, but for trade bait if there are some in future waves that I cannot obtain reasonably. Any extras would be 1-on-1 trades or sold at cost to deserving NA members.

I haven't seen Wave 4 anywhere yet. The Mario Party Amiibos are up on Amazon, but not available to preorder yet. I just signed up to be notifed when available.
I just got back from toys r us and they had plenty of Bowser and Toon Link. They also had two Sheiks and one Captain Falcon! I've been kicking myself since a few days after Christmas. I found one at Gamestop and the plastic was bubbled up pretty bad so I put it back. I thought about it and went back and i was gone. Glad I was able to pick him up tonight.

They also had 3 Captain Falcons, I grabbed one that I figured I'd offer to someone here for cost ($15.74) plus shipping. If you just want the figure I can do a smaller box and it would probably be $2 for shipping. If you want the whole cardback $4 should cover it.

The early morning violence resulted in several injuries and some property damage. The store did not open and nobody got anything. The manager ultimately shipped the sneakers back to Nike.

Disgusting, isn't it? This behaviour has actually made me want amiibos less. Scarcity is fun, but all the scalping neckbeards and the lengths they'll go to for what will end up being only a few bucks profit is stupid. Even more of a reason why if I can't walk into a store and pick it up, I don't want it. If that means I miss out on the exclusives or Pit or whatever, so be it. No way I'd support this business model any more than I already have.

DUDE! I didn't even see that pic! Wtf! I was just analysing the figure herself to make sure I wasn't crazy in seeing a US one. Then I searched and viewed others. God dammit.

Sad part is there is no way to fix this. There are plenty of ideas that could stop scalping but it's like trying to fix the government. It requires too many people to make a change, so in the end, nothing will happen.

As far as region settings go, I'll be opening the boxes anyway and the figurines inside are essentially identical, so it matters not to me what side of the pond they come from.
If my Japanese Rosetta arrives in addition to my UK Rosalina, I'll probably keep the Japanese packaging or at least use the hotwheels/acetone trick to separate the card undamaged from the blister pack. I'm a sucker for Japanese stuff and I dig her alternate name too.
