2 HOURS LEFT | The Final Sell Off - Rare & Uncommon CIBs

Only 24-hours left and prices are still fair!

Hey guys,

It's been an awesome three years and 5,000+ posts here and I think it's time I move on. I just got a huge bill in the mail that I wont be able to pay with my current bills. I'm starting off with the common CIB's w/ 1 semi-rare at least in each lot of 10 games.

There are 17 lots, each with their own stack of games.

I really hope you guys treat the collection well. Also, keep an eye out for the rare stuff coming some time later. I'm only keeping only select items. Also, please keep it civil. Here are my auctions. All of which are free shipping with $0.01 opening bid. I ship to Canada and the US only.

After this I'll be listing my rare CIBs, and Black Box collection...keeping my sealed stuff though.

Edit: Crap- seems I made a mistake and can't offer free shipping on some of the listings that already have bids anyone know how to fix?

  • Dude, nooooo.
  • Aw, good luck with the sale!
  • Jose, hope you do well with the auction, do you have any loose carts or manual, pm me
  • Sorry that you have to sell for a bad reason. Best of luck to you. You're posts were always thought -out and insightful. I will put in some bids for you!
  • I had to do the same thing last year. Good luck with your auctions!
  • Collecting isnt for everyone and I think its not for you. Congrats on making the decision.
  • Damn...Joe you're a really cool cat. Hope the best for you bro.

Considering you got the finest girl...I'm sure you'll be alright
  • Thanks for the bids so far guys.

I had to temporarily remove most of the listings to fix an error since there was bids on them and I couldn't offer free shipping. Fixed it now, but it might take a while for eBay to catch up and show the listings again!

Anyway, good luck on all your bids and thanks for everything guys
  • Threw out some bids for you Jose. Good luck and best wishes.
  • Hey man, good luck with all your sales.
  • Have any super nintendo stuff?
  • I understand selling off things for financial reasons. Sorry to see you're leaving the hobby. Best of luck to you.
  • Nope, sold that last year with my N64 and PS1 stuff.
  • Sorry to hear you are calling it quits but you might want to drop the price on that SE if you want to get more offers. Many won't bother sending reasonable offers when the price is that high. Yeah I know best offer yada yada yada but when I see a price like that I don't think that the seller is serious and just move on.
  • Good luck with the sale Joseph!

To follow up buyatari's constructive criticism, I wouldn't go as far as saying that your SE label is a variant. You can praise its centering, but calling it a variant might be too much.
  • Any of those CIB lots especially Minty?
  • sorry to hear about the recent event(s) ....

I hope that thing(s) will get in order once these have sold .... =0/

No nothing minty. Keeping my mint stuff which is all sealed fan faves. I was never that "mint" collector. Regarding the SE, I'm trying to keep it but if I don't hit my goal then its out of here
  • Glad to hear you'll, hopefully, be able to keep your fan favs at least Joe. Don't just go and run away from the site tho man. You make a lot of us look way cooler, and we need that confidence boost man.

p.s. we'll always have that one night in chat lol
  • I'm not sure what I'll do when I finish the sell off. I know if I hang around here too much I'll pick the hobby up again.

I think I'm gonna focus on just growing my business and maybe start a blog. I've been tossing the idea around of opening a retro game blog. A couple members here know the full details.

Keeping my sealed fan faves and if I'm lucky I can keep my Stadium Events. Depends on how much I bring in on everything else. Still, if I hold onto it too long then I can easily get back in cart only collecting.

Keeping sealed fan favorites 100%, keeping my childhood and great grandmas stuff 100%, and only Stadium Events is pending. I can easily throw it in a safe.
  • Prices are still low, need some action guys!
  • Aw man sorry to hear you have to sell of your collection

I hope the auctions go well and best of luck!
  • Only 24-hours left guys, and prices are still fair!

    Free shipping, no reserve...go, now!
  • Good luck from a fellow Jersey collector. Wish I could have bought the lot awhile back when it hit CL?

Back then I would have taken $6,000 cash. Not counting SE.
  • yeahhh...I'm still kicking myself in the ass.

I still got some other stuff though! Most of it real good too...only sold a little over half my grails so far...can't believe I forgot to take a "group shot" of them all niced and lined up though. Panic > Logic in this case I suppose.

The only thing I regret is never finding a Sqoon to have a complete "R9" set...I had the top 20 rarest NES CIBs except for Stadium Events and Sqoon...both of which I had (or have) loose though. Meh, I got pretty far in the hobby so I can't say I didn't accomplish anything.

If I do come back though, I'm coming back a loose collector + mint sealed fan favorites across NES/SNES/N64.
  • Bump.

Looks like I'm taking a hit on some stuff. Anyway, only a few hours left...sorry about the early bump.
  • I just pumped up half of them. Except that one. I need nothing from there.
  • Thanks dude, looks like I need another couple hundred to break even after fees and shipping. Also, I accidently allowed shipping worldwide with eBay global program...aye caramba.

Here's hoping I get paid on those listing.
