Sealed Watermelon N64 Controller in Blister

I'm watching this auction, and it's kind of blowing my mind.  That said, I really don't follow sealed items, almost at all!

    If i remember watermelon is the holy grail of sealed funtastic controllers. People havent been collecting these long but this is the claimed hardest to find.

    That seems more than right. That is by far the mintiest Watermelon blister I've ever seen. The Watermelon color is the rarest blister and mix in super mint blister and I expected one to sell for this high.

    Someone on here just BINed one at 600 the other day and I told them I thought they did good. Didn't realize quite this good though!

    While that's probably a crazy number to most people(myself included) it's actually reasonable-ish for a watermelon blister in this condition. If I remember correctly there are only 4 or 5 known to exist. Anybody who collects blister controllers has been waiting for this auction for a long long time.

    I cant say I have ever found a loose watermelon N64 controller in the wild. Probably find 8-10 N64 controllers a year.. That and a gold in decent enough shape to keep..
