It's all about the condition on the small boxes, really. I am sure that many of the buyers originate from SCN / Scandinavia...
And yes, Devil World, DK Classics, DK Jr Math, Hogans Alley and Zelda 1 are by far the most expensive small boxes, especially in the condition they are in. But basically all the "Class A" small boxes (Popeye, Clu Clu Land, Metroid, MTP-O etc.) go for high prices, especially if they are in this good condition. Note: There have been cases where the SCN-version's gone for about 700euro / about $1000 USD... so yeah, these prices vary like mad...
So yeah, here one can definitely get a nice scoop on very well preserved small box games, that's for sure.
Sheesh, like I said I have 4 variants on some of these and never had to pay over $100 on any of them and mine are in great shape. I just bought the dk jr and guess I should be happy it stayed under $200? Lol, oh well happy to finally grab that one.
I think you can only explain these prices with the effect of multiple buyers wanting multiple games from the same source. Of course many of them were in great condition, but some of these prices are just out of this world. I have some of these CIB too, and I can never imagine them going for this rate again.
Trust me, IF you announce them properly and sell them, as Freezer mentioned, in a large quantity at once, the prices will have a higher chance to explode. Just look at that dude from USA selling sealed games in large quantities. I have seen some of those sealed games go for way less prices, but because the seller is selling so many games at once, the prices are boosting up quite high.
But seriously, the market for small boxes have in recent years exploded quite nicely, really. And Brave; You can definitely be sure that the DK Jr will be sold for a WAY higher price if you would like to sell it again, for sure.
So yeah, congrats to the seller who've gotten a NICE price on these beauties!
Wow $912.37 for Zelda.... I have two variants on that one CIB. Wonder if they are both worth the same amount?
You have to take into account that the Zeldas and some others were NIB. Pretty much the equivalent to a 1st print sealed Zelda/Black Box in the US, as here in Europe the games never cames sealed.

I completely agree with this. Even on my eBay I get way more traffic when I have multiple things listed at once. Definitely adds to the traffic and the hype to have a bunch of high profile listings.
