Just a regular auction. Yes, it has a high BIN price, but it starts at a buck and shipping is $3, so $4 is a good price for the games, the market will deternine the end price.
Should there be a "Ludicrously Overpriced Items" thread since most links lately seem to be to such ridiculously priced items?
There is overpriced stuff all the time. That seller's just hopeful or, quite more likely, ignorant to market value. Maybe, though probably unlikely, he put the decimal in the wrong place. I once saw someone trying to sell an incomplete Super Mario/Duck Hunt that he thought was some rare manual for $200. All it was, was the section that says "Shh, secret hints, don't tell anybody" or whatever the actual words are. Instead of posting it here, I asked if he meant to list it for $2.00 and told him what it was and how it was essentially worthless anyway. He thanked me for bringing this to his attention and he took the listing down.
I used to get a good chuckle out of the truly silly sellers but I find myself asking "Why is this silly? Oh I guess it's the price."
Here's a good one. This time, the seller decided not to be an ass and decided to put the real rarity of this game in this listing instead of QMFG L@@K RARE!

Yes, this title is a very rare game... if you actually have the PAL version. This NTSC-J one is way more common and I got mine for about £6 a few months back. I particularly enjoyed the part of the listing that implied buying this would result in guaranteed profits down the line. I really hope nobody falls for this.
I don't know why, but I seem to get a kick out of the descriptions that people leave for their items on eBay. Maybe it's just me, but I figured I'd see if anyone else enjoys some of the blasphemy people spew about their items as much as I do!
Please, chime in your TWO CENTS is worth a couple bucks here. Some of my standard favorites are:
"Item is in great condition for being 30 years old" - Code for the item is worthless!
"What you see is what you get" - Usually associated with 2 grainy pictures taken from a Motorola Razor!
"Mint, Unused" - Yet somehow the item looks like it was used as a hacky sack, but to them it's mint and unused!

Bonus points if you find all those in one listing! hahaha
I always hate seeing the word "RARE" marked on everything. I think a while back, somone put "COMMON" on a listing, and that gave me a chuckle.
I put down a 600 starting bid and 635 max to prevent getting sniped at 600, bid ends at midnight EST. Someone comes along and bids 645 less than forty minutes later and auction is suddenly over. Chilean shenanigans, I assume. Doesn't he still have to pay 65 in fees anyway? So next time he has to get 700 to break even. I don't see the point he's not getting 800 for that copy anytime soon.

Someone's trying too hard to pump up his coffers.
Dark brooding shadow? Left in the toaster too long?

That is the most miserable condition cart I've ever seen. And it has six bids.
