I usually forget about these threads since I usually play whatever I want at the moment but I'm noticing there are a lot of N64 games that I either own or plan to buy that aren't completed yet so I thought I'd contribute, plus now it gives me extra motivation to play those games again. N64 isn't my favorite console but it was the height of gaming "career" and I feel at home on the system more than any other since I've probably played moer than 50% of the entire library which is a much larger percentage than any other console.
Working on Bomberman Hero now. I should be done with it tonight. I started it last night just after I finished Mishief Makers and my god is it short! I blazed through most of the game in less than 2 hours. I probably only have about 30 minutes left of the game so we can mark this one off soon!
Golden Nugget and Mortal Kombat 4 are done. There isn't really anything to take a pic of in Golden Nugget.
Last year, I did it on Very Easy. This year, I decided to up the ante a little bit and play on Medium. It didn't seem much different at all, honestly. Everyone succumbs to Liu Kang's flying kick rather easily.
I will be back soon my friends! Last few weeks of Uni here, and have to move soon then intersession. Been real busy, glad to see some peeps still beating games . Can't wait to get my N64 game on as it's been quite stressful lately. Free bump and keep up the good work!
Just finished Bomberman Hero for the first time! Damn some of those bosses are annoying! :-P
I never have played Hero. I heard it wasn't as good as BM64, which I enjoyed quite a bit.
Hero is different than any other BM game since its more of a standard 3D platformed that happens to star Bomberman. Its a good game, though some bosses are frustrating and most of the levels are short and easy. Its not BM64 but its worth a playthrough.
Now working on Ogre Battle 64 for the first time. Never played it before and just picked it up the other day. So far it seems...interesting. Not really my type of game but I'll give it a whirl since it seems like a genuinely good game.
Mega Man 64 is beaten. At first, I expected a bad game seeing the 4.5 out of 10 note on IGN, but later, I discovered that it was just an unfair review. Why did they give this rating ? Well, Mega Man Legends that came out in 1998 (USA) on PlayStation is the exact same game that is Mega Man 64, released in 2000. So, Capcom would have released the same title two years after with only few improvements. Because of this, IGN came out with a conclusion of 4.5. Yes, I know, it's pretty bad from Capcom releasing the game two years later without many upgrades, but it is still good, and I need to say that I really liked it. It is not excellent, but it can be really fun if you want to start an adventure. Hard bosses, a lot of upgrades for the right arm buster, memorable characters, and good graphics are the reasons why I liked this game. I'd recommend it !

Here are my pictures for the 64th game beaten :
Mega Man Legends was great! At least back when I played it. MM64 is definitely on my "to buy list".
Switched focus to Jet Force Gemini, a game I only rented about 15 years ago, didn't really like it too much and never finished it. Now that I have it in my collection, I can concentrate on it, and I'm actually really enjoying it this time.

I heard that the final boss for this game is really hard. I saw it in a "Top 10" video about the hardest bosses in video games. Good luck with it !

Thanks for the warning! Hopefully it doesn't stop me from completing it.

It shouldn't be harder than the last boss of Bio FREAKS.
That one is very hard to beat, I managed to fight him this year but I just couldn't beat him. The stage was very dark, it was hard seeing him and his attacks were way stronger than my attacks.
I haven't had much luck with any of those crappy fighting games. Usually the controls are so bad, you can't do anything with the cpu once they stay fighting seriously.
What are the games you're playing at the moment, guys ? I'm actually playing Mario Party 3, and I'll go back to Space Station : Silicon Valley after it.
I'm pretty far into Blast Corps. right now. Not sure what you guys think is necessary for completing it, though. I'm at the Moon stage, and there's only a couple things left to do. I know you unlock time attack mode after beating the actual game. Is that enough, or do I need to finish Time Attack as well, and then try to go for platinum times? That's gonna be impossible for me, I'd say. I'm not very good with the rock truck (Backlash), so those levels will be out of the question. I've already seen one set of credits play, as it is.

I consider a game beaten when the credits screen is obtained. No need to do all the additional modes, and to have the best scores (except if you need this to access to the credits). Just finish the main game and it's alright.
OK, cool. I should have it finished up tonight, then. I can grab a photo, as well. Already snapped some of the other credits last night, but if another set plays, I'll have my camera ready.

I love Jet Force Gemini. It is one of the very few games i've completed more than once. Would love to see a remake or even a remaster of it.
The key is to always use the manual targetting in the game (hold the shoulder button all the time) rather than rely on the automatic option; you get good at it and it makes the bosses (including the final boss) a bit easier to beat (given these are manual targetting only).
Got through all the bonus space stages in Blast Corps. with gold medals. I took some pics of the screen, and one basically says "You've done everything you can do". It does unlock Time Attack Mode, but as far as I am aware, no further levels are accessible from that point on. I'll upload pic tomorrow.
Mario Party 3 is done ! It was great to rediscover this game from my childhood. Nothing much to say about this one, everyone knows what is Mario Party.
Wheel of Fortune is done. You win one game and you get the credits. Not very exciting. Camera's not working right now, so no pic. Also, I've been working on NBA Showtime. It'S the real NBA Jam for N64. Pretty fun, but I'm still horrible at it like I've always been.
I think I beat Tigger's Honey Hunt, but no credits played (though you can choose to view them from the main menu). It ended up showing all the characters sitting around eating and drinking tea, then went back to the level select screen. I've been trying to do whatever seems to be left (collect all honey pots, do time attack mode), but they did a poor job helping you keep track of things. Think my save says 83% right now. Got a pic of them all enjoying their party, anyway. Will post when I can.

I checked it out on YouTube, and it seems that the ending is them having a party around a table. So yeah, this game is beaten. Thanks for beating it !

I'm happy to hear that you're currently doing NBA Showtime. Sports games just don't interest people in these threads.
Speaking of sports games, what are some of the best games on N64 for each sport? I've never really played any since I normally hate sports games but I'd be willing to play them if they're fun.

I heard that NHL '99 is pretty good for a hockey game.
Beat Tom & Jerry in Fists of Furry late last night. I had zero idea going into this one that it was going to be a fighting game of all things. Probably one of the cutest fighters out there, hehe. Kept it on the default settings (think was 3 rounds, 120 secs each, medium difficulty), and made it through to the credits with Tom. Wasn't really a bad little fighter. You do need to try and use pickups and special items as often as possible to try and win, though. Got another snap I'll have to upload once I get them onto my PC.
I also started Tarzan, and it seems like it should be enjoyable enough to continue.

Keep on the good work people.
Maybe we can do better than the last years.
