     Lets do it guys !

Welcome rdools ! Cool to see someone else helping us with the completion.

BTW, guys, I'm actually doing Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. 5 levels out of 8 are done. It should be beaten this weekend.

It looks like there is a new point thing, is  the list of how many points each game is worth? And can you update the high scores to keep track of how many games each person has beaten?

Effectively, I could add a list of how many points each game is worth. Also, I will add how many games each person has beaten. Thanks for the great ideas. I will start this later this evening.

  • One down.  Questions were dated, and favored Americans. And yes I was the black guy with big smile.

  • Razor freestyle scooter. I did this one last year and it took quite a while to get the controls down. It was much easier this time around. I guess this is one of those that you don't forget, just like riding a bike..  Errr a scooter.

That's a great start from you ! Never tried Razor Freestyle Scooter, but I saw videos of it, and it looks very boring.
  • I have just beaten Star Wars: Battle for Naboo.

It was a fun game but not as good as Rogue Squadron. I would have enjoyed it more if there were more space mission. A large portion of the game consisted of ground mission using some vehicles that I thought weren't as fun as the mission that could use the ships. Anyway, the game looks better than Rogue Squadron and it is a bit easier although there are some missions that I died more than I wished. The last mission is very fun to play but a bit hard. Here are the pics:

Edit: Another game, South Park: Chef's Luv Shack. This one was really fast to get to the credits.

  • I beat Dr. Mario 64. It seems that in order to get that last level I heard about, you have to beat it on Normal without continuing. Seems a bit pointless for something so tedious. Also, I just checked the ending out on youtube. It doesn't change whether you do the last battle or not. It seems the only purpose of it is for unlocking secret characters.
  • Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is beaten. Very good FPS for the Nintendo 64 ! I disliked the jumps parts, but apart from this, it was a fun game with great gameplay, really nice graphics for its time (early 1997), and interesting music. It was hard to figure out which way to go in the game sometimes, but after all, I got it. The final boss was easy for me, since I collected the Chronoscepter parts (most powerful weapon in the game). Here are the pictures !

Next game - Fighters Destiny !
  • You should give Turok 2 a try, Michel. It only has four levels, but they're huge and it's really hard to figure out where to go most of the time. Nice job beating the first one.

I do have Turok 2 in my collection. Maybe I'll do it later this year... For the moment, I'm focusing on Fighters Destiny (unlocking all characters), and after I will switch to Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside or Pilotwings 64.
  • I'm trying to beat Snowboard Kids 2 but it is harder than I imagined it to be. I got a level 3 board but this doesn't mean I'm winning everything. Right now I'm stuck at the Starlight Highway level, I tried a few times but I was losing my patience with the game and then I decided to stop playing for a bit. I like racing games and this style of games like Mario Kart but I hate when the cpu throws three attacks at you and you can't do anything except wait for everything to hit you.
  • Army Men: Sarge's Heroes is done. I thought this game was great when I was a kid, but now I think it kind of sucks. It's pretty difficult, but the main reason it's so hard is that you can't control the camera. Too often I found myself getting shot at by some unseen enemy and by the time I found it, I was dead. To make it even worse, most of the levels take 10-15 minutes to complete and if you die, you stay over from the beginning. Then it has a lot if awkward platforming and the jump button is often unresponsive. Even still, I persevered and made it through the game. The story is pretty funny and the gameplay has its moments. It just needed a better camera, level checkpoints, and better controls. I'm going to pay Air Combat next. I've beaten it before and it's much easier by comparison.
  • Fighters Destiny is done. This game is absolutely unforgiving if you want to unlock every character... Here are few examples of what I mean:

Joker: Win 100 consecutive fights. If you die ONE time, you need to start from the beginning (only one round per fight)... This is ridiculous !

Rob the Robot: Beat four enemies (two rounds each) in less than one minute.

Ushi the Cow: Stay in the ring longer than one minute in Rodeo (trust me, that's frustrating).

Out of these three, I got Rob and Ushi, after a lot of tries and also, luck.

My goal was to unlock every character, but after all, I think it is unnecessary for the thread, and it is not even fun to do that, so why would I take the time to do it ? I guess the game would be a lot funner if I took the time to master a character, but I don't have the time for that. Maybe all the challenges for unlocking the characters are easier when you're a great player, but for fighting games, I'll stay with Street Fighter IV. Fighters Destiny has some great music tracks, a lot of moves (pretty impressive for the N64) and has a good number of characters (14 in total). I liked it.

EDIT: My pride told me to continue playing the game, and there's only one character left to unlock... The Joker (the one with 100 fights) ! Will I be able to do this ? We'll see ! That's a personal challenge for myself. Also, after learning how to play Leon (a character from Spain), the game is very enjoyable, and it's now in my top 3 N64 fighting games with Killer Instinct: Gold and Clay Fighter 63 1/3.

    Here's the Master unlocked:

EDIT 2: Well, I'll never unlock this Joker. It is too hard for me. Pilotwings 64's next.
  • Finished Army Men: Air Combat. Pretty easy game overall, but the last two levels can be very frustrating. It's quite fun, though. Similar to the Strike series, but faster paced and a much better control scheme.
  • After playing Snowboard Kids 2 this afternoon, I decided to give Knockout Kings 2000 a try and I'm loving it. I had never played it before but had played Fight Night on the Xbox 360 and they are very similar. I just need to get better at Knockout Kings but it doesn't seems to be a hard game. I will definitely finish it sometime soon and then I will go play Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire or Tarzan. In between everything I will continue to play Snowboard Kids 2.
  • Time to post a few pics:

  • I'm still working my way through Shadows of the Empire. I don't remember the game being so tedious and dark. And by dark I mean I can't see a damn thing even with brightness turned up. Only in certain levels though but still annoying. I'm at the last level so I should be done with this very soon.
  • Currently working through Tetrisphere, it seems you need to beat 30 rounds of 10 levels that get progressivley harder. I belive I am in round 3 , and so far it is pretty addicting.

Try increasing your TV's brightness. I did this with Rogue Squadron and it really helped me on some levels.

And since you are playing Shadows of the Empire I won't play it anytime soon then.

Anyway, does someone have any tips for Knockout Kings 2000?

I tried increasing brightness. It just makes everything a brighter shade of dark. Can't really see anything. Oh well.

That sucks. I hope you can beat it without many problems anyway.

I'm sure I will. I'm almost done. I guess I just remember it being easier. Or perhaps I just suck at the game lol.
  • Shadows of the Empire is done! I remember it being so much better but still a solid game. Some parts were frustrating so I'm kind of glad its over!

    On to the next game!
  • Im working on WrestleMania 2000. Playing as Undertaker. This game can get so frustrating sometimes. I was up against D' Lo Brown in the semi finals of King of the Ring last night and the bastard countered every other move I threw at him!!!

I never tried the wrestling games on the N64, and it is my favorite console. Yes, I do need to feel bad about this...

WWF No Mercy is the best!

  • I'm still working on Knockout Kings 2000 and it seems this game will ruin my controller. I'm even a bit afraid of playing it too much so I want to beat it as soon as possible but it is harder than I imagined when I started playing it. I hope to beat it tomorrow and then I want to start playing Tarzan.

Many people told me that No Mercy is the best one. I'll probably buy it later this year !

Also, I edited my "Fighters Destiny" post if people are interested to know what is my current goal.
  • I used to play Warzone a little bit. I remember the character creation being pretty in depth. The only other one I played was Nitro. I remember it being decent, but it got bad reviews. Also, I'm trying to complete the Army Men trifecta with Sarge's Heroes 2 right now. So far, I like it a lot better than Sarge's Heroes 1.
  • Knockout Kings 2000 is beaten!

Well, this game was a very very nice surprise. I bought it a few months ago for the fullset but I never intended to play it anytime soon. But last sunday I was browsing through my N64 games and decided to give it a try. I was already a fan of the Fight Night games on the X360 but I didn't know that this game was their predecessor. I was very happy when I started to play it and discovered that. The game has a great gameplay for its time, it may be a bit complex since the controls are not so intuitive as controls on the later games but after awhile you can get a hold on them. The graphics are also very good, I was surprised by how good they look. The soundis ok, it isn't bad but it is not that good. The career mode is harder that I thought it would be, a few fights took me more than 5 tries (specially the one for the championship). I liked this game so much that now I want a CIB copy for it, luckily it isn't expensive at all. Here are some pics:

Now I think I'm going to play Tarzan.
