Well, this game was a very very nice surprise. I bought it a few months ago for the fullset but I never intended to play it anytime soon. But last sunday I was browsing through my N64 games and decided to give it a try. I was already a fan of the Fight Night games on the X360 but I didn't know that this game was their predecessor. I was very happy when I started to play it and discovered that. The game has a great gameplay for its time, it may be a bit complex since the controls are not so intuitive as controls on the later games but after awhile you can get a hold on them. The graphics are also very good, I was surprised by how good they look. The soundis ok, it isn't bad but it is not that good. The career mode is harder that I thought it would be, a few fights took me more than 5 tries (specially the one for the championship). I liked this game so much that now I want a CIB copy for it, luckily it isn't expensive at all. Here are some pics:
Now I think I'm going to play Tarzan.
I might try it someday ! I love to read about games that no one seems to talk about. I remember that my brother's friend had this game, but I never got the chance to play it. Well, I'll add it to my want list, and yeah, like you said, this game isn't expensive at all CIB.

The only bad thing about this game is the use of the analog stick.
When you get knocket you have to move the analog left and right and sometimes I got afraid of damagind the analog because you had to do the moviment very fast. Besides this, I would highly recommend this game. I don't know why people don't talk much about it and why it is so cheap.
Sorry for the double post but I just beat another game that I think deserves it own post: Disney's Tarzan.
Since I was a child I was curious to play this game but I hadn't until yesterday when I decided to play and beat it. The game is ok, I was expecting a bit more. The 2D levels are nice but I think the analog stick isn't very good for them, I played them on the dpad. The 3D levels are a bit strange, I think the development team could have implemented better controls on them. The graphics are nice and the sound is ok as well. I played the game on Normal and the last two levels were a lot harder than I was expeting. I lost count on how many tries the last level took me. I would recommend playing this game on easy if you don't want to have any troubles. Here are the pics:
Edit: I started playing The New Tetris but I have a question. How can we consider it beaten? No one in the previous years finished it.
I gave New Tetris a try last year and I wasn't sure myself. It has objectives. When you complete a certain number of lines, you use them to build structures. I don't remember how many there are, but I remember the last one requiring over 250,000 lines to build. That's kind of insane.

There are 7 Wonders but even if you delete the older save files of your cartridge you will keep having the Wonders complete. I bought my cart used so I'm at the fifth wonder already. And the last wonder needs 431.945 lines. Also, the highscores depend on the save files that were on the cartridge so it would change from cart to cart.
The video's description says it needs 500.000 lines to unlock the final wonder. Even if it takes 1 minute per line, you would still need more than 8300 hours to be beat it. No one would be able to achieve this is one year. What do you guys think would be a better option?
I think I have a better option. To beat "The New Tetris", you need to do 300 lines in one game. If the number is too high, tell me, and I'll fix that.
Here it is:
It took me a bit more than two hours to get good enough to reach the 300 lines. The gameplay is good but I don't want to listen to the music anymore haha.
Galdius: Not sure if you read it earlier in the thread, but I already completed Tarzan recently. I didn't upload pics yet, but did post about it. It was even updated on the main list. Hope that doesn't mean you wasted time on it. It was a decent game, though.

I was certain that nobody had beaten Tarzan yet. I only noticed that you had beaten it before after I finished the game but that is ok. I was curious to play this game since I was a child and now I know how the game is and also it didn't take long to finish it.

Congrats ! I guess this was pretty tough, but at least, you got it ! I need to buy this game and Tetrisphere someday; I love Tetris.

Thanks! The game isn't very hard, my biggest problem was the controller, I couldn't press the buttons as fast as I can on the Gameboy. That's why it took me so long to reach the 300 lines. I also need to buy Tetrisphere but I want a CIB copy since I also love Tetris. Now I don't know what to play on the N64.
Pilotwings 64 is done ! This game was released three days after Super Mario 64, so this is the second game that North America got the chance to play. The gameplay is really nice, especially for someone who is discovering the N64's controls (and that was the goal at time). There are three vehicles in the game: the Hang Glider, the Rocket Belt and the Gyrocopter. The Hang Glider levels were boring and the Rocket Belt (or Jetpack) ones were the most tricky (mostly because of the landing). The Gyrocopter had the most pleasant stages. This mode includes a boss. At first, I found it pretty boring and long, but the more you play it, the more difficult it gets, the more fun it is ! Very unique game for the N64.

I remember trying to play this one some time ago but I found it boring and I didn't understand very well how to control the vehicle. I should try it again sometime.
I didn't expect to like Pilotwings 64, but I loved it. Then again, I had the same reaction to the SNES game -- I turned up my nose at first, but when I actually sat down and really played it, I couldn't stop!
Lots of people call them glorified tech demos, but I found them to be among the most addictive games on their respective consoles, and Pilotwings 64 is easily in my Top 5 for the N64.
Today I started playing Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2. The gameplay is a bit strange compared to Knockout Kings 2000 and for now I prefer KK 2000 but I will keep playing it. I hope it doesn't take long to finish it, hopefully I can finish it on the weekend.

I have the first Ready 2 Rumble Boxing in my collection. I'll probably do it later this year. BTW, I will start Monster Truck Madness 64 tomorrow. I never played this game, I can't wait to see what it will look like.
Double post, I know... Monster Truck Madness 64 is done. Very short game, with only 10 races and a battle mode I didn't try. This game has very bad controls, because the truck keep bouncing on every little bump. Trust me, the Expert mode was a pain ! It could have been a good game if it had good controls, but sadly, I didn't appreciate it for this reason. There were 20 monster trucks, but none were different in terms of gameplay. The graphics were OK, but there was a lot of fog. I would not recommend it, because I feel it was not made well. Something else I did not like is the fact that it uses the password system. Seriously... This is N64, not NES ! Monster Truck Madness 64 is actually the second entry in the series and I came to a conclusion with it: I highly doubt I will play the first one ! I took a picture of the credits, but you only can access them in the main menu.

Monster Truck Madness 64 gave me the worst case of motion sickness I've ever gotten from a game! I felt like I'd taken a poison pill for at least an hour, after playing it for just 25-30 minutes.
If I play through Let's Smash (aka Let's Smash Tennis), will that count for Centre Court Tennis? It's the Japanese version of that game, which wasn't released in the US.
Otherwise I can't play the PAL version, unless someone wants to buy me an EverDrive 64 or make me a repro cart with the NTSC-compatible hack on it.

Yeah, the controls are the worst I've ever seen in a racing game (I never played Sonic R). This game frustrated me so much sometimes ! Especially the last level named "Death Trap". After beating it, I listened to some Slayer to calm me down. It worked.

Yeah, it's alright ! That will count for Centre Court Tennis !
I will buy some games this summer to help the thread. Let's go guys ! My brother (RetroMichel) is doing AeroFighters Assault, and damn, that game is hard.
I've been so busy I haven't been able to play any more N64 lately. Here and there I was working on Space Station Silicon Valley, which I know was already done but it's an old favorite of mine. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon and continue more N64 games.
