Yeah I said as soon as Cena lost here comes the rematch where Cena wins. I loved that match, best in show for me. To all of you hating on Ryback... That Intercontinental strap looks good on him! He seemed appreciative of it too, which was awesome to see. As far as the main event seems to me like the whole Shield triple threat match is getting setup awfully nicely. Could be just in time for Lesnar to come back after that plays out.
Women's match sucked. Looks like Paige got hurt landing on Naomi's heal so they had to end it fast?
That's what I'm thinking. I mean, I know main-roster "diva" matches are booked to be 2 minute slapfights, but for a triple threat this was WAY too fast. Someone must've got hurt.

I was still basking in the Owens win, but then they later showed the promo for MITB with the rematch, and the excitement got sucked out of it. Oh, sure, Cena will take a pinfall once every couple of years, only if he gets an immediate rematch to secure his merch-selling throne. LOL.
Seriously, Cena hasn't lost clean in what, 2 or 3 years before last night? He'll be booked as a juggernaut at MITB in return for putting Owens over.
EDIT: I know I sound like a typical IWC Cena-hater, but I'm not. I recognize the work the guy puts in, etc. I'm just tired of his super-predictable storylines and gimmick. He never loses feuds. Ever. And that's just bad story-telling.
Not to mention the AA sucks major ass as a finisher. But seriously that Owens Cena match was one of the best matches all year. So glad Owens won it. But yeah payback is coming fast in only two weeks.

For reals. The AA is just a standing Fireman's Carry. We used it in amatuer wrestling as a simple move just to get your opponent off their feet. It's like defeating someone with a body slam.
My guesses for their rematch, are going to be A.) Owens wins again, but by DQ. or B.) Cena goes Cena-Saiyan and annihilates Owens. Frankly I'm still astounded he lost clean.

I'm not even a cena hater anymore but yea I agree. The last time he lost clean might have been to Bryan at summerslam and it was cool he didn't get his rematch. Owens can't lose this rematch though, it's way to early for him to be fed to cena, him losing with basically take all his credibility away and make his win look like a fluke. Best move is he beats cena and takes the title and cena goes away for a little bit to find himself or something. They need to know that cena over coming the odds always is dumb and burys everyone, Wyatt still hasn't came back from being cena'd and rusev now is gonna be a jobber because of it

But even against Bryan, Cena still had that arm injury that made his elbow blow up like a canteloupe. So, he was still wrestling with an injury, and not 100% clean loss. Still, kudos to the guy for performing with such an obvious affliction, though.
If WWE is even halfway serious about bringing up new talent and phasing out the old, then Owens has to win this feud. We've already seen newer, bright stars get fed to him right away(Wyatt and Rusev), Cena actually losing a feud is long overdue.
true i guess the bryan win wasnt really that clean, i guess lesnar is the only other person as of late to go over clean, but then the remacth the made it seem like cena was on the verge of winning befor rollins saved the match, just like at mania with lesnar and roman lol cena for sure is overdue, should it happen? hell yes, will it happen? most likely not. hopefully triple h has more say in whats goin on here with owens and has him go over

Cena is what, 37 or 38 now? I see him sticking around for another 3-5 years at least. The dude moves merch, is in amazing physical condition, gets crazy pops both good and bad, is an active role model for the young ones, and draws like nuts. He's a cash cow, and he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
With that said, prepare for the platinum shovel on Owens at MiTB lol.
The main event was awesome. Dat ending though. RAW will be interesting, that's for sure.
I think cena could prob go for 10 more if just treats his hody right and takes breaks when needed, hopefully owens beating him at mitb will be on of those needed breaks
I'm still kinda upset we never got a Sami vs owens match in nxt that want a squash. Hopefully the feud carries onto wwe and we get one in the future, those two can work one hell of a match together. We did end up getting Rollins vs Ambrose though so you never know. At some point we might even get punk vs joe in wwe lol nah I'll keep dreaming for that one
So did anyone see the Heyman interview, and the tease of a possible Austin lesnar match at wrestle mania. I mean if its gonna happen its gonna be at wrestlemania and it will be in texas. Im sure it will never happen, but its some things I could comfortably spen 9 months looning forward to.
Incredible interview, I just wish it were longer. Austin vs brock would be crazy, I don't know if I really wanna see it though, Austin is pretty old and I'm sure he could go, but brock would kill him. Let's see brock vs Bryan at mania
I have dreams about that too, but im not even sure if bryan will make a return in a fighting capacity, and lets be honest vince would never let david win against goliath which is the whole reason fans want the match in the first place, hes the only believable small guy that could beat brock.

Well this conversation was not about how the announcers spend things. It was about him losing clean or not and when he fought Lesnar lost clean. What the announcer say afterward is neither here or there.
The announcers play a gigantic role in how the angles play out. They are basically the narrators of the storylines. They can make or break a wrestler's career. For example, JBL and Cole had completley thrown The Ascension under the bus when they debuted, and that's really sad. These guys finally broke out of NXT, debuted on the main roster, and got talked down about like they were nothing but jobbers. It's one thing to sell heels as disgusting bad guys, but JBL attacked their actual wrestling abilities constantly, making them look like buffons(despite squashing everyone they faced). Completely sucked their momentum out and doomed them to the midcard. These guys were supposed to be the new generation of Road Warriors/Demolition, and now they look like puds.
The announcers help shape what's happening in the ring to the viewers at home. It's no secret Cena is the "made-man" he is, just listen to the announcers. He's the only babyface that JBL(being a heel announcer) even sucks up to. I can't think of any other wrestler whom the entire announcing team turns into slobbering fangirls over.
The WWE had no idea what to do with the Ascension, let alone establish if they were heels or faces. They growl and try to look mean but are given shit to work with. In NXT the WWE had no idea what to do either. Were they supernatural, goth, pyschos? Their "gimmick" was lost in translation. No wonder they have not gotten over on the main roster.
Their finishing move sucks. A trip with a spinning heel kick. Wow, incpacitate everyone with it?
I agree with what jandrem said about the commentary, they never even have ascension a chance, it was their first or second match and they were getting shit on by them. By them just up and saying cena won of it weren't for Rollins, that's what people are gonna remember from that match. Commentary of today can't sell a match for dick, everybody feeding them lines should be fired and they themselves should be fired. I know bo vs Neville wasn't a very good match but they just shit all over it yucking it up talking about football or god knows whatever, you don't do that in the middle of a wrestling match, you do the play by play, is there even a play by play guy anymore?

Sadly there's not. Also sad, that Cole is in an untouchable place in the company, and we're stuck with him for many years to come. The fact that the crowd was cheering when he got F5'd by Lesnar this year should tell the officials what the crowd thinks of him.
JBL is just a goof who is killing time. He's already rich on his own, and just hangs with the company so he won't get bored.
booker is the only one i can stand and thats only because of how much of an idiot he can be lol i love his "you gotta be kitten me" line
jbl could be the worst of the bunch, hes just so over the top to the point where its the most annoying thing to listen to, commentary shouldnt be like that. you arent supose to hate the heel because all he says is garbage, that is the opposite of heel heat

Eh, it's all speculation and hearsay, but supposedly he's in good with Cena and Vince. He's a "company man" to the bone.
The commentary in general is just so dry. Even the new guys you hear on Smackdown and NXT, it's just so robotic. It sounds like a job interview. Damn I miss good ol' JR!
i think most people are afraid to lose their job lol the young guys for sure are like that so they just repeat watever crap is said through their headphones. the work environment in that company is pure trash, its crazy how there can be a place like that where everybody fears for their job so they dont speak up about anything
Ascension seemed and felt bad-ass in NXT, but yeah, commentary and stupid booking has cost them dearly in WWE. It's nice to see them making a bit more of a run lately though (they eliminated two teams in the Chamber match and looked pretty solid) but everytime I see them on the main show it just feels like they're out of place. It never felt that way somehow in NXT but in WWE they feel so dated and stick out like a sore thumb.
Also part of their downfall (har har...) is the fact that in WWE they modified the Fall of Man. It was cool how Connor would sprint the other way as Victor sprinted at his opponent. They messed up early on the timing at a WWE event, and next week Connor started tripping the guy while standing right behind his foe.
It doesn't look nearly as cool or devastating when he doesn't sprint. Funny, coz in NXT they hit that move pretty crisply 95% of the time. One botch in WWE early on and the move was forever modified and thus, rendered a joke just like the team itself.
Loved the ending to Austin-Heyman, talk about intensity! Love how Steve turned into Stone Cold and got into promo mode. I think it was a work but it's hard to tell, and those are the best angles in wrestling.
I don't know I've heard for over a year now that Austin has been training hard for one last hurrah match at Wrestlemania in Texas. Him in a match there would blow the fucking roof off that place. He just needs to make sure his cut offs aren't too tight so he doesn't kick people in the nuts like the last couple times he made a comeback match and couldn't get the kick up high enough.
