Even though I love Austin and would love to see him in one last match, I think brock would be the worst choice. Brock is super human and although Austin was great, I think he's way past his prime to put up a believable match against the beast
Do you ever watch Broken Skull Challenge? Austin looks firkin jacked on that show. Could be wrong but yeah. I'd prefer to see the classic Austin screws the Authority and beats HHH at Mania type thing. As I don't believe there is ANYONE in WWE that could realistically beat Lesnar these days. Unless the Rock comes back.
Dont worry reigns will beat lesnar in the near future. Does anyone else cringe when he does his punch and spear? He doesn't seem to hit his spear very hard, now if he would hit it like Goldberg then ill be impressed.
SCSA was my fave back in the day, but Brock is a freak of nature. I think Austin could realistically put a hurting on Brock, but ultimately Brock would get a combo going and incapacitate him. Brock just gets so much momentum going, he's like the Juggernaut from the X-Men comics.

Reigns has gotten a LOT better in the past few months. I have to give credit to WWE for listening to the fans and switching gears with him and Ambrose. Reigns is doing a much better job articulating his character in his supporting role backing up Ambrose, and his moves are looking better. Reigns is still on the road to the WHC, but at least they're slowing it down and making it slightly more believable.
His spear isn't as intense as Goldberg's, but nowadays, NOTHING is, out of fear of injuring talent. I've read a ton of interviews with ex-wrestlers who say their moveset got neutured in WWE. One guy said it was like wrestling in handcuffs.

Yea I guess brock vs the rock would be more believable, but even then brock would decimate him. In a day and age where wins and losses don't matter, I really think brock should go undefeated for the rest of his career. He doesn't need to give anyone the rub and it wouldn't get annoying like the undertakers streak because he's not gonna be 80 years old like taker and still wrestling. He really is an attraction, kinda like a modern day Andre but better because he can actually move. I do wish we get to see more of him though, the time he's not there is usually boring as hell and I'm just waiting for him to return and kick some more ass

I agree 100% and might as well have him be the monster he really is! This day and age we are used to constant gratification. However, when you look back on things, if it's a 1-2 times a year thing it will be amazing from a historical standpoint after many years.
Very cool stuff here, wwe is going to be showing hopefully the house show from japan live on July 4 on the network. Owens vs balor for the title is confirmed, makes me think that it was Supose to be itami befor he or hurt. I hope wwe does more stuff like that and the surprise king of the ring tourament and ec ppv. Now that they have their own network this kind of stuff could happen.
Reigns has improved immensely; that spear to Big Show on the ramp a few months back is still the best spear I've ever seen. I've never really been a fan of Goldberg or his spear; The Jackhammer was pretty sweet, though!
Yeah I said as soon as Cena lost here comes the rematch where Cena wins. I loved that match, best in show for me. To all of you hating on Ryback... That Intercontinental strap looks good on him! He seemed appreciative of it too, which was awesome to see. As far as the main event seems to me like the whole Shield triple threat match is getting setup awfully nicely. Could be just in time for Lesnar to come back after that plays out.
I was still basking in the Owens win, but then they later showed the promo for MITB with the rematch, and the excitement got sucked out of it. Oh, sure, Cena will take a pinfall once every couple of years, only if he gets an immediate rematch to secure his merch-selling throne. LOL.
Seriously, Cena hasn't lost clean in what, 2 or 3 years before last night? He'll be booked as a juggernaut at MITB in return for putting Owens over.
EDIT: I know I sound like a typical IWC Cena-hater, but I'm not. I recognize the work the guy puts in, etc. I'm just tired of his super-predictable storylines and gimmick. He never loses feuds. Ever. And that's just bad story-telling.
I'm not sure if you remember when Brock Lesnar completely destroyed Cena twice in a row. Cena basically legitimized Brock's win at Wrestlemania 30 vs. Undertaker and his subsequent title reign. When he beat Cena for the title at Summerslam (right? Suplexed him like 80 times, it was amazing) he beat the crap out of him. No one has lost a title match like that... ever. Props to Cena for being a pro and putting Brock over like that. He probably was all for it, the same can be said recently about Owens.
Cena has put the entire roster over.
The guys that have recently retired as well got huge boosts while working with Cena, with Cena losing. Edge won titles from Cena. JBL.
Bray Wyatt feuded with the Undertaker after Cena, had a main event on the TLC PPV? Against Dean Ambrose.... I don't think losing to Cena hurt him much.
Rusev didn't lose to ANYONE before Cena. Why is it "bad story telling" if a 15 time world champion beats him? He was US champion, yes. Still, He was probably going to destroy everything in that chamber, and his storyline with Lana is so strong they're keeping it going while his foot heals (obviously). I'm not sure that losing the US title to John Cena, and all the attention it got him and Lana, was a bad thing for them.
Daniel Bryan also beat Cena for the world title and Cena never ended up beating him in a feud. They built that match up quite a bit. Wasn't much of a feud, but Cena didn't win and never beat him back for the title, or "winning the feud".
I know Bryan got screwed out of the title right after that, right? But that was a huge Authority angle that kept Bryan in the title picture for a long time.
Cena wins all the time because he sells tickets and has done it for 10 years. That's how it works. He's also a huge dude who played football and works out like a maniac. I think he can toss around his fair share of weight.

Kevin Steen outwrestled Cena. It was great to see him win. Sucks he will lose at MITB.
They both outwrestled everybody. No doubt Kevin Owens has some shit that hasn't been seen at this level in years... I couldn't be more marking out everytime I see Owens. He's amazing.
They've (WWE) opened up a huge door to the world with Kevin Owens and his recent promos that they haven't done in years (D Bryan had a sweet shout out to ROH in his doc, though)... They've acknowledged touring around the world and wrestling in other promotions during IN RING promos. THAT'S CRAZY! It's amazing... I think they're eyes have been opened to the international promotions and getting wrestlers (Itami, Balor, Owens, Zayn, Neville) that have had crazy success in those venues will benefit them.
Since WWE squashed WCW they have (for the most part) acted like they are the only wrestling out there (mostly to keep the fans hooked I'm sure) so to open things up on this level is amazing.
I think it has to do with the revolution of worldwide social media and how quickly events, matches, and wrestlers are discussed online. People all over the world are talking about Fergall Devitt, Itami, Owens, etc... so what does WWE do? They sign them and WHAMMY...
Oh... did I mention Samoa Joe?
WWE is like "fuck it", we're getting the best professional wrestlers in the world. In the meantime, they're training people like a machine, literally, in the Performance Center (no different than many wrestling schools in theory). They're humble enough to reach out beyond they're waters again. It's awesome to see.
And even more awesome that Kevin Owens is right on top of the NXT train. Especially if Samoa Joe is right behind him.
As for just getting squashed at Money in the Bank, that's not going to happen. There's so many different options it's ridiculous, but Owens won't get tossed around, that's for sure. Could very well DQ himself, as he's an amazing heel. There's a ton going on... especially wiht the Tokyo NXT event, that's crazy.
I don't think the Cena/Owens feud will end at MITB, it'd be silly to do that.
Owens can win the US title from Cena (in they're 3rd match at , after Cena pulls out a narrow win) and Cena leaves for a bit, allowing Owens to drop the NXT belt to Samoa Joe (Because this will seemingly be after the July 4th event, where Owens beats Balor)
There's so much awesome stuff happeneing in WWE, it's incredible.

According to Bret Hart, which has a pretty good idea of what he's talking about, Goldberg used to injure people all the time, not to mention almost kicking Bret's head off and ending his career. How many hundreds of matched did Bret Hart work amd never hurt anybody and take a beating and probably MANY kicks? A shit ton of matches!
Goldberg I find is still WAY overrated. He has admitted not realyl caring about wreslting, came from the power plant because he was let in because he played football. He sucked on the mic, wasn't a good technical wrestler. What was good about him?? The only thing that was good was the hype. He didn't do anything after the hype. The guy had a terrible match with Brock Lesnar. How is that possible?? At a mania??? Jesus. Thank god Steve Austin was there.

Yes. This.
Also, I'm not really sure if it would be realistic at all For Stone Cold to get in the ring with Brock. I really don't see him being able to take many suplexes safely, I'm not sure that would be the best plan. I think Steve would have to wrestle against someone he could roll around with a bit more, not get thrown around like a rag doll.

This is insane. So awesome. Makes sense that WWE has just got a shit ton of legitimate international stars, eh? I don't mean "just" but they've clearly been developing that....
the problem with cena going over everybody is usually right after the creative has nothing for the person and they end up just doing shit. wyatt is one of the best examples of this, he should be main event and winning matches but ever since cena hes been mehh. i feel like the same thing is gonna happen to rusev when hes back. i think for the fans perspective, once cena goes over someone and beats them constantly in a feud they just lose attention for that person. i get that hes a 15 or watever time world champion but he should give the rub more because the rub from him is what really puts people over.
i think owens drops the title to balor, what im hearing is joe is gonna be brought up right away, im sure hes gonna do a little in nxt but not title holding. i heard owens is already a lock an on the main roster so he kinda needs to drop the title asap. i just dont know the way he could lose the title and end up strong, they will have to put on one hell of a long and intense match.
i hope cena owens ends in a dq where the ref calls the match because they both are going at it with each other too much. its a safe way to book it, it cant be a dq where owens does something to cause it because itll look like he did win by fluke and hes trying to dodge cena. this could carry onto summerslam where owens wins the title fair and square, we see cena leave for a couple months and owens runs through everyone. i have no idea where it should go after that, it might be too early to push the sami feud, but that needs to happen at some point and it would be cool if h got his retribution on the main roster with a title win over owens

But that's an issue with creative. We have to be smart enough to realize that's not Cena's fault, and it's been that way for years. It's been years since he's had legit opponents (Brock/Bryan/Orton withstanding).... but now with Owens and the international talent they've brought it, he's got someone to go with. I think he's more than happy to put KO over and give him a run.
Wyatt feuded with Undertaker after Cena, was in a main event, and heavily backed (with his entrance, distinct name graphic). I think they're just riding this heel side of his character all the way to Wrestlemania where he can take the torch from the Undertaker. It'd be silly of them not to turn him baby face, I think they know that.
It's going to be awesome to see what happesn with Cena/Owens/Balor/Joe... very interesting possibilities.

Ah, good call. Spoilers are hard to avoid these days. I usually check the dirtsheet sites during the week, but I purposely avoid them on the weekends to not spoil PPV's.

I agree that Cena's schtick is boring at this point, and it is rare that anyone goes over clean on him. However, I watched the Jericho interview with him not too long ago, and it did make my appreciation for him grow to some extent. He does take a lot of time out of his day to make an impact on an unfortunate child's life. I can appreciate him for that.
You can respect the man for doing that, but I hate when that is tied into his character. I remember one time he said by booing him is to be booing all these sick children. It was a disgusting promo and a disgusting way to get people to cheer for you. What he does with charities should have nothjng to do with how he is booked or what his character is, kayfabe is dead so leave that shit to yer personal life. I remember hearing that a lot of superstars do a ton of work with these charities too but they only show cena and mention him which is kinda fucked up
This and the image comics forum are it for me, I should post on a real wrestling forum but I haven't found any that weren't filled with stupid posting. I browse 420chan /wooo because they post spoilers and all the dirtsheets and there's always hilarious gifs, but I rarely post on it
I feel out of the loop as I have not had tv in months. I really have no clue what has been going on.
Well, I was watching a videotape earlier tonight after painting my VHS room purple, so here is what I have figured out: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat beat Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, then showed me 3 Moments of Truth. I have no idea what he was talking about, but Mean Gene seemed rather unimpressed. I hope this helps!

Great post ,
What happens next ?
I dunno. But I can tell you later on what happens in Wrestling's Country Boys. Because that tape is next on my shelf. Apparently, I do not organize them either alphabetically or by catalog number. I should have my head examined.

What about those tendo tape wrastlin' games? You should give those a try.

I refuse. Why is Bam Bam Bigelow in the first WrestleMania game? That makes no sense to me. Somebody, please, fill me in.

It's amazing how fast you guys forget....
Suplex repeat, suplex repeat, suplex repeat, suplex repeat, suplex repeat
Haha, yeah... this.

Owens vs balor for the title is confirmed, makes me think that it was Supose to be itami befor he or hurt. I hope wwe does more stuff like that and the surprise king of the ring tourament and ec ppv. Now that they have their own network this kind of stuff could happen.
This is insane. So awesome. Makes sense that WWE has just got a shit ton of legitimate international stars, eh? I don't mean "just" but they've clearly been developing that....
i think owens drops the title to balor, what im hearing is joe is gonna be brought up right away, im sure hes gonna do a little in nxt but not title holding. i heard owens is already a lock an on the main roster so he kinda needs to drop the title asap. i just dont know the way he could lose the title and end up strong, they will have to put on one hell of a long and intense match.
i hope cena owens ends in a dq where the ref calls the match because they both are going at it with each other too much. its a safe way to book it, it cant be a dq where owens does something to cause it because itll look like he did win by fluke and hes trying to dodge cena. this could carry onto summerslam where owens wins the title fair and square, we see cena leave for a couple months and owens runs through everyone. i have no idea where it should go after that, it might be too early to push the sami feud, but that needs to happen at some point and it would be cool if h got his retribution on the main roster with a title win over owens

I'm not sure if you remember when Brock Lesnar completely destroyed Cena twice in a row....
Uh, yeah. This has been addressed. I did forget about Lesnar, and said so earlier in the thread.

Wrestlingforum.com?
Any others?
I just joined wrestlingforum.com and it seems alright. There's a fair share of hating, but people seem to shut that garbage down pretty hard.
What do you guys think?
Anyone else think Roman Reigns will win money in the bank? Seems like he's due for another disappointing and predictable victory.
Not only this, but he's going to cash in the same night and win and it's going to be really lame.
im a huge fan and think that its sad that we will never get the backyard talent from the indys
we will never get the chance to see a legit war like the wcw vs wwf
we will never get a smokey mountain , iwa , wwwf , wccw , ECW , etc , or small company's that show REAL talent
what happen to bat shit crazy people in the ring and on the mic ?
what happen to real storylines ?
what happen to the JAP style , Lucha Style that we never get to see
ECW was cool , but when your a person doing spots and all you hear is E-C-Dub
thats great for Paul H , but not for the talent
What happen to great gimmicks ?
What happen to the Wrestling over the years ?
i grew up with my next door neighbor being the Tongan Kid (Sam) i was great friends with his son (Jake)
i own a Ray M JR practice mask that was used at an autograph signing
but thats nothing to seeing the raw footage of owen harts death
and the raw footage of Droze breaking his neck By D-lo
i never would want ANYONE to see the clips i have seen
sam wanted the kids to know that this was not a Game , its a real thing that has REAL dangers
Sorry for the long post

Well, I was watching a videotape earlier tonight after painting my VHS room purple, so here is what I have figured out: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat beat Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, then showed me 3 Moments of Truth. I have no idea what he was talking about, but Mean Gene seemed rather unimpressed. I hope this helps!

I dunno. But I can tell you later on what happens in Wrestling's Country Boys. Because that tape is next on my shelf. Apparently, I do not organize them either alphabetically or by catalog number. I should have my head examined.

I refuse. Why is Bam Bam Bigelow in the first WrestleMania game? That makes no sense to me. Somebody, please, fill me in.
