Hello all!
I just joined the site, referred here by a couple people who said I might be able to find what I'm looking for around here.
A bit about me, my name is Christian, I run The Tanooki, and I'm currently working to build my Fire Emblem collection, which looks like this as of 6/3/15:
I came here with the sole purpose of seeking out the elusive Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon crystal, in case any of you have one you're looking to flip. Of course, I'm not opposed to picking up other things along the way or trading/selling some of my other stuff.

Well, up until FE12 and the FE13 soundtrack (and the Mario Galaxy 1&2 soundtracks), I hadn't really imported anything. So most of the imported stuff I have now is really only from the last 3 or 4 months. The Japanese games are on my radar now though, and once I get a few more of the soundtracks (I'm a musician and music teacher in addition to The Tanooki's EIC, so music is a priority for me), I'll probably start to seek out the Deluxe Thracia set and rest of the games.
And as far as importing goes, I'm pretty sure most of the Fire Emblem games are really cheap on the Famicom and SFC. The couple Fire Emblem games I have imported cost me like...$10 each shipped. There aren't many RPGs out there that are more than $20 on the FC or SFC. Soundtracks, though...those can get expensive, and I never understood why.

Thanks! And yeah, most of them are pretty cheap. My issue is that I'm going to be looking for CIB units, which might be more challenging. They don't have to be NIB or mint or anything like that, but definitely CIB in good condition. Thracia Deluxe is going to be especially interesting to seek out.

Both my copies of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War are CIB with all inserts. Still, just $10 shipped each. Even though I only own two of the FC/SFC games, all five are common. I bought them with a bunch of other stuff, so I saved on shipping.
Thracia Deluxe will be a heck of a thing to get, though. The size of it alone is going to make it cost a pretty penny to ship.

Hmm, good to know! Maybe as I track things down individually, I can have them sent to a friend in Japan and then have him ship them all over to me together to try and save a bit. That is, unless I find someone in the States who already has them and is willing to sell.

It might be a bit of both. I'm not looking to currently sell, but I'm sure you could probably get a few members to track 'em down for you in Japan and send 'em your way. Lots of people here sell FC and SFC games, too.

I know about it, but right now I'm prioritizing the games and the soundtracks. So even when someone offered to get me items from Comiket a few weeks ago, I simply asked for two of the anniversary soundtrack CDs as opposed to pins, iPhone cases, t-shirts, etc. Maybe after the games, soundtracks, and possibly figures and artbooks, I'll track down the VHS.

Yup! I've now switched my attention to the remaining soundtrack CDs and the Thracia 776 Deluxe Set!
Oof, good luck on the Thracia 776 set! That is definetly hard to get!

But I picked up the North American VHS and Japanese LaserDiscs. Hope that's OK?
