R.I.P. MiKa aka The Haminator
My Hamster Mika has an insanley fast growing tumor on his leg and I took him in to get it checked out a few days ago and the Dr. said that he will probably have to have his leg amputated
Hes a little over a year old so he should pull through just fine and adapt but Im still a little upset about it because I should have taken him in sooner. The tumor trippled in size in a week... yeah lame. Anyways headding out to drop him off, just wanted to share. I'll post some after pictures when hes home. Meanwhile, this is Mika ![]()

What does surgery of that sort cost?
I believe it's by the gram.
Regardless, good luck Mika!
Im not sure about the tumor, That would probably cost me more than the surgery to find out.
Okok, I know you guys would want to see it. He looks like a science project, if that was me I would be like dead!
Please dont judge him in his current state :S hes really a cool lookin hammy... when hes not all bloody.
prepare yourself...........
hes really a cool lookin hammy... when hes not all bloody.
Forget that! He's a really cool lookin hammy when he IS all bloody and has a metal leg.
good luck with the hammy. I was always thought that they live for like around 5 or less years?.
that hammy looks bad ass.
what sort of bird do you have NGD?
*edit
Also just incase you were worried about all that yellow orange crude on him thats just an iodine solution used to keep that area sterile during surgery.
And heres what my Lil Cockatiel looked like, The light grey one looks just like the one that died, she was soo nice, she would sit on my shoulder and I would pet her and she would fluff all her feathers up so i could clean her, and the yellow on looks just like her baby. She had 2 babies
we gave one to a friend and kept the female but she is more mean, except now that her mom died she seems to be getting nicer... strange.
I have am Cockatoo named Roy. He is a pimp of pimps.

it would be quite funny to see that lil fella with say a lego wheel in a harness attached to him.
