They're really hyping the crap out of that Analog NT. The sad part is that it doesn't even come standard with HDMI. That's an option! I hope you can keep the AVS in the sub $200 range.
I looked for the answer to this but could not find it, sorry if it has already been asked- is scoreboard a feature on the new system or is that going to be released separately at another time?
bunnyboy when they finally have video out for the analogue nt can tell us how it compares image wise to yours?
I believe that the Analogue NT can only achieve HDMI via a converter, whereas the AVS is straight digital signal from begining to end. I highly doubt that Analogue NT will even come close to the picture quality possible with the AVS, and even if it does, the AVS will most assuredly have it beat in the lag department.
What exactly does the extra sprites option do? Also what about left side on/off? Is that one of those sides with some extra noise that you can cut out on it or something?
also, i take it the exp volume is to adjust the added expansion volume sounds that get added in on some games?
I assume the extra sprites are so games can have more than 8 sprites on a scan line. What about games that have flicker programmed into them, though. Will you be able to turn flicker off like you can in emulators?

The Analogue Nt's HDMI output option is being generated by Kevin Horton's (Kevtris) Hi-Def NES kit. It's unclear whether or not the Nt uses the NESRGB at all anymore.
So wait Analogue NT is making a deal with Kevtris to have Hi-Def NES integrated into it? That definitely increasing the NT's stock a bit. I'd still rather just buy the kit by itself. Also I very much want to buy this AVS because it's self-sustaining, not relying on old NES CPUs or PPUs. So supply on NT and Hi-Def NES are limited, although their are a billion NES out their to install them into, but still eventually their will be no parts or consoles left to utilize. The AVS could be produced indefinitely.
Half the reason I want the AVS was because I'm tired the unreliability I've had with the toaster's cartridge slot. I know I can do an HDMI mod myself now, but I'd rather have a newly designed connector that works better.

I'd say it increases Kevtris's HDMI kit's stock even more. But I agree that if they can just add in HDMI and keep the price the same, it'll be better overall.
But i know i dont have anyplace for an aluminum block in my life, and would rather save the extra money AND get a nice new controller as well.
15 sprites per scanline instead of 8. Some games flicker less, some games exploit the limit so it has to be turned off. Some games like Super Dodgeball are programmed so poorly that it doesn't help

Games can hide the left column to make sprites scroll in instead of just appearing. SMB3 does this. When it does, the background color (blue for SMB3) is shown in the left column. If you have black borders then the blue stripe looks bad, so left side off will extend the black border into the column only when the game has it off. This really needs some screenshots...

Yup, every Famicom system has different audio mixing, so there isn't a correct volume. This will probably need some JP people to get tuned better.

bunnyboy have you seen the video of the analogue nt and what color palette is the accurate one fceux or the playchoice 10 one?
There is no accurate color palette, NTSC = Never The Same Color I don't remember what problems I had with the fceux one. PC10 is for the arcades and will be wrong in some games. Kevtris knows what he is doing, and you will be able to get that board in a sub $500 system anyways.

Will this be able to do 4:3 ratios as well as 16:9 (or stretch?)
Maybe these pics will help
Option screen
1x1 ratio
4x3 Ratio
5x3 ratio (my preferred setup. No black bars)
Then again, maybe I am way off and you guys are talking about something else
The latest update has given you options to stretch how ever you want.
Even more options than the above post

I take it that the AVS has more granular scaling adjustments now? The AVS is still capped at 720p output, right?
