Should I grade a sealed original game boy

Hey all!



Just picked up a sealed original game boy. It is mint. Should I grade it and how much would it raise the price? I have no interest in keeping it.

    If it grades low it will not be worth as much as an ungraded sealed GB. So based on the costs associated with having it graded and shipped you may be better off not doing it. Unless you know for certain it's going to grade highly just pass on doing it.

    Yea, if you had experience with grading and we're certain of a high grade, then yes, grade it. Otherwise you're essentially gambling, and like Jaxs said, you can lower the value.

    Like the others said. Grading is for items that look absolutely immaculate. So use best judgement.

    Graded games and systems are in general, imo, a waste of time, it's basically just one big circle jerk. VGA is a scam.

    I believe a sealed gameboy is about 600-700 or so. I didn't check this out much but if you don't get a high grade with your costs involved, I would imagine close to 200 dollars for a gameboy been awhile since I've had to deal with grading a game and never had anything but games done. I checked ebay for a graded sealed gameboy completed and only one I found was 19hundred something but that was for a 90plus. I personally think that price was a few hundred dollars too much and can't imagine someone paying more than 1500 for that one but is my opinion and could be wrong. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-B-W-Gameboy-Console-w-Tetris-NEW-SEALED-H-SEAM-VGA-90-GEM-MINT-GOLD-/141648947480?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20faef6918 We don't even know what gameboy you have which makes a difference as well, just the system, the one with tetris, etc. If you are positive you will get a high grade maybe something you would consider but I personally wouldn't. If you see any type of crease in box or wear, discoloration, nick in plastic do not get it graded.
