But seriously, trying to rebuy it after I blocked them with a different account? That's kind of crazy. I don't mind them being mad at me, I'd be mad at me too, but I wouldn't be dead set or rebuying the item from me again.
I think I've pretty much had it with the USPS. Absolutely horrible lately. I've lost a good $200 or so from "lost" packages or damaged packages. A month ago I sent out a few CIB n64 games, in a box, plus lots of bubble wrap and somehow the shitty post office must've dropped an anvil on it or something and absolutely CRUSHED all of the box's contents. So I basically had to refund the buyer over $100 worth of stuff and then I received the boxes and stuff back and the stuff looked like it was put through a blender. WTF!??!? So that's MY fault I guess huh? Then last week I sold another N64 game with tracking and insurance (supposedly) that is tracked right now as "delivered" and between the buyer and myself talking to the post office, the conclusion is the post office "lost" it. WTF!?!? And to top of it off, they are showing that I had no insurance on it. Wonderful. Fuck you, USPS.
In my experience USPS will initially deny your insurance claim, and then cut the check during the 2nd appeal (once you mention how you'll never buy insurance or use their services ever again, lol). Did you take pictures of the damages and a screenshot of the refund you gave?

Had a package come in from USPS that looked like it was kit by a truck. This was sent from overseas and was a deal here on NA. It's been over 3 months since the package arrived damaged. USPS is playing games giving me the run around and then claiming I did not comply to their requests. This was not the case and was an error done internally through USPS. Provided the proof of compliance yet no check has been cut yet... USPS does usually pa but some claims are more difficult then others.
I would ask if anyone else has been having issues with USPS tracking lately, but I've had multiple games come in fine without any hiccups, but one package is being a little bitch right now. Ordered it 7 days ago, had it shipped 6 days ago as First-Class, hasn't updated in over 4 days, ending at "Departed USPS Origin Facility" in Portland. I've been becoming increasingly paranoid over Dreamcast games and disc rot, and heat just accelerates it, so I'm hoping to god wherever this game is right now there's some sort of climate control.
Again, I ordered this one at the same time as 3 others, and they all came in record time. What's going on here?
Most of my recent eBay sales haven't had tracking updated for the last few days either. I think they took a very llooooonng weekend off for the 4th, lol
USPS sucks with tracking, now that I work from home, I actually will stand in line to get the scan done just so I don't get fucked for not having tacking uploaded in time.

To make things worse, there's laser issues with many of the used Dreamcasts out there. Before I sold my copy of Shenmue I actually went ahead and double-tested the passport disc on my wonky unkillable original system and a fresh system to determine that yes the disc was truly questionable!
...and still I believe it's more of a matter of pressing errors in certain titles than actual rot.

I absolutely hate to say it, but the game came in, and it does in fact have disc rot. It's little pin pricks you can only see when holding the disc to the light. I've only seen 3 games do it that I own: My original copy of Sonic Adventure, Daytona USA for Saturn, and the replacement copy of Sonic Adventure I just got. Christ this breaks me a little inside. I haven't played the game yet to see if the rot hit anything crucial, like a loader in my original copy that crashes the game in Final Egg. Why oh why...
It's a regular game, coming from Japan, but when I try to bid I get that message. The seller offers shipping to Thailand and there is a price in the auction. When I change my location to the US (I can ship to both places) I get the same message.
USPS strikes again with not scanning an item and just putting it on board. It has been 5 days and still the tracking number hasn't updated for one of my items I shipped. It just says shipping label created. Inb4 buyer asks for a refund.

Yeah, screw that. Rather spend more time and wait in line than dropping it off and not knowing what the hell they are doing with your packages. Just so damn frustrating. The supervisor said "oh oh it is shipped. We sometimes don't scan it just to speed things up." Yeah, fuck you. Never dropping it off again.

Can you actually see right through the silver fill layer? Like a Hole in the Sky?

Yep. I should've updated earlier, but it's nowhere near as bad as the original copy I had. I've also been able to play through around half the game so far with no issues, so it seems what rot is there didn't hit anything crucial.
Quest brings up a good point; I once saw a Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes disc with a pin-prick or two in the disc art (Not sure if it was intentional or if the matte just flaked off in spots). From what I know discs like that with the silver showing can still work, though they may be more vulnerable to additional deterioration to the layer over the long term.
Me, "Oh wow, Goodwill actually has some NES games for sale!" Looks at prices: Mario 3 cart only 19.99, TMNT II cart 19.99, Tetris 2 CIB 55.99, Defenders of Dynatron City cart only 33.99......

free inventory smh. If they just sold them semi reasonably good deal it wouldnt be a problem. seems like 9.99 would be just fine for all those . Theyd make a good amount and someone would actually want to buy them. Maybe 15-20 for dynatron.

Yea, they had the console too for a cool 79.99, completely yellowed.
Gawh! Ebay is such a pile of shit sometimes. Just sent a game off a couple weeks ago and the guy claimed he never got it. Out $40. Seem like about 1 in 20 or 30 transactions is a nightmare. I think I'll sell locally more often when I do plan to get rid of stuff. Between the eBay fees, dealing with brain dead people, and the cost of shipping it doesn't seem worth it to me. Even selling stuff at cost is a hard bargain these days with all the fees.

That is brutal... the Goodwill here in town does not individually price anything... all NES games will be like $5.99 no matter what the game is.
This anyone here? My favorite part of the rant is the "I just bought this at a yard sale for $5, now I want $800 because it's condition is the best ever"

They may have a collection, but apparently have never sold anything in their lives.
Trying to brag about something and sell it at the same time. Hilarious
What's worse on Facebook groups? The people with no concept of how trading works or those who won't ship, want you to drive to them, and expect you to pay higher than retail prices .
The one this dingus left me should be gone shortly, but if it was still there he'd be at 66.6666666666666666% negatives left, clear evidence of feedback extortion to get free games and movies (already sub'd to HoS).

Sends request to ship to different address in seller notes. When declined and asked if he could repurchase with different address, claims they are the same address and that I will be getting negative feedback in one week (lol). We'll see if I get the neg, but he apparently has neg'd plenty of others.

and blocked. He probably does that to void all seller protection. Sellers who dont know the rules can easily get screwed over. Have to ship to the address marked. Cant edit it, even if its invalid and makes you change it. Dont know why ebay even allows invalid addresses. Should be approved at the checkout process.
Never understood also why ebay doesnt allow buyers to agree to change their address after buying. And then allow the new address that is agreed upon to be under the same protection. Ebay does everything so half assed.

Agreed. But, I do like that you can just cancel an order right away if there's an issue with the buyer's address. Not the best solution but at least you can pull out so to speak. Sometimes you can print a label with paypal multi order shipping if it's invalid in ebay. Not always though.
