That's definitely a cart swap. colored SNES shells do exist, but why do this???
EDIT: My local Game-X-Change had several N64 and SNES carts painted in purple nail polish, presumably originating from the same owner. No official carts were ever released in purple and it was funny because looking at the pin connectors, the carts were gray inside. Wierd...
