2015 Nintendo World Championships Poster & Standee BNIB
Had a very rare opportunity to buy some NWC BNIB standees and posters. These items were all part of a larger lot of similar items. Had an idea of what a fair price was and what I paid but I'm looking to see what fellow collectors thoughts were? What do you value a mint never used wall poster? Then the value on both a used but in good condition CIB and BNIB standee? Tomorrow the same seller of the first lot is contacting me again with a list of more displays and possibly more NWC merchandise. If any collectors are interested in either shot me a PM, Thanks for looking!

Even now, I probably wouldn't pay more than $50 for one now,
I have no clue what your Uncurculated poster might go for tho??
Not sure of the price, but I know the local BB had to destroy theirs after the event as I'm sure others had to as well, so they might be harder to find than an average standee. That said, I also wouldn't go north of the $50 range for one of these. Yeah, it was an alright event, but the standee is pretty plain and I have such limited room for standees as it is, I would rather use that room on a standee for a dedicated Zelda or Mario game (something well known) than a one time event. That's just my personal preference though, others might hold more value for it.
Standees tend to be a niche item for collectors. As for popularity Zelda and Mario are common names even to non gamers but amongst collectors NWC is a well known event. Think to the right collectors this will demand a good deal more then $50. It's good though to hear feedback from all types of collectors to come to a price point. Also should be interesting to see how many of these surface both new and used.
The standee is quite bland he has that right which will certainly limit the value, but, the fact it's absolutely minty and in the original packaging gives it a lot more charm to me as a collector than anything.
If I was in the market for this, I'd pay $100 and may even shell $125-$150, but that's unlikely. Personally other than the idea of value, it's a terrible thing to unload currently unless you find that person who has to have it and it basically throwing his wallet at you, in that case, charge $200-$300 and see if he pays up.
It's also wicked early so basically it's just a waiting game to see how many of these others have and if the demand starts to pick up. Again I think this will not start to pick up speed until maybe 10 years down the line or further.
I paid around $100 for a brand new NWC standee recently and would have gone much, much higher if needed. NWC items will not only go down, but climb up as they become more well known. It is a really cool piece of item to have as it is big, and really can stand out your game/collector room. Also, it is apart of the rebirth of Nintendo World Championships! It really comes down to how many are actually out there. The event was only just a few months ago, so it is hard to really come up a good price right now. Who knows maybe more will start sprouting up for sale and it could change things. I know though these standees can go for way more than $100 right now. The posters, I am not too sure as I don't have interest for them, but I wouldn't pay more than $30 for one. I'd say the posters should be no more than $100.
Once a general idea of the quanity available to the market and a price point is established they will rise in price over the years. Which color is the label was on your NWC box? Regardless if it's red or blue at $100 for a BNIB standee it's a great deal. These are not of the norm for the fact they premote a game and an event. Yes the event was not done up to par for many collectors. It is the first of what could be many more or the last of the series. Either way it's an important event in Nintendo history.
I have my flyer from the actual event in l.a and that's like 50bucks, hell the wristband I had on too would probably fetch that too.
Even though it's the best buy part of what went on, it will have a value not as much as actual event posters/misc but, still up there.
If you happen to get a blue label, do you plan on opening it? Curious to see if there is a difference between the two, or it is just a label variation.
Yes, it is a hallmark of an important event and will always have a significant value in history, just like any event memorabilia has.
